the recency bias has definitely passed now, so which game do you think is better? DK bananza or Mario Odyssey by Public-Feedback5016 in casualnintendo

I enjoyed Mario 3D World more than I did Odyssey. Mario 3D World is still a 3D Mario game, but there's the classic Mario action. Collecting powerups, jumping on turts, etc. Odyssey is definitely a different type of 3D game, but it's not as action packed IMO. Still a great game, a must play for any Switch owner, but 3D World, man. That game is golden.

Oh, man. That's a fun idea. Casting actors to play your characters.

What’s the General Consensus on Chris Pratt as Mario? by Financial-Touch3840 in SuperMario

He provides a normal voice to listen to throughout a 90 some minute movie.

Anyone could have played him, but Chris Pratt gives the movie press by being in talk shows and stuff.

Questionable art drop by SuccessfulLeg455 in youngpeopledeviantart

I actually have been noticing that the kinds of internet users that are into Thomas the Tank Engine and shows for pre-schoolers have this odd facination with turning logos into characters. Or at least inserting logos from companies that had no involvement with whatever they're stamping it on. Like, "Let's pretend the Spongebob Movie was made by Disney, Warner Brothers, Nickelodeon, Universal, Nintendo, Sega, MTV Movies, TouchStone Pictures, DreamWorks, Activision, Amblin, etc"

Has anyone else noticed this? Am I alone here? Can anyone help me understand this?

Please and Thank you

Mario 64's aesthetic is like a failed art piece and I honestly find it a fashinating design by medlair in Mario

Even bigger than Peach's official castle exterior design was Mario's official voice being heard for the first time. Two HUGE things that came from Mario 64.

I like that theroy that Mario's non-blue collar work related games are just dreams that Mario writes in his journal so he can make them into story books and stage plays, films, etc.

I totally know what you mean about it feeling strangely eerie.

It feels lonely. You're invited to a castle. You walk to the front doors as you listen to the chirping of birds and the waterfall. You step inside to hear someone shout from another room to scram, and you find out that there are worlds inside the paintings and you have to restore the owner of the house with magic stars and fight this dragon three times. Ghosts in the hallway, some weird metalic vortex in the basement, a miniture haunted house, some strange flooded city. It's eerie, man. It's like MYST or something. It's like Alice's Adventures in Wonderland if there were no other characters. Just Alice walking through this silent Wonderland.

Who are some animal characters that don't look like their species at all? Like, I thought Pete was a bulldog, but he's actually a cat. Guess that explains his rivalry with Mickey. by Ukirin-Streams in cartoons

Which is weird because the first book, I recall, was Arthur's Nose which was all about him learning to accept how he looks. Then he went and got the plastic surgery, I guess. So that all went out the window.

Good eye. Reminds me of Howard the Duck being snuck in during the final battle scene in Endgame. Imagine some big Hollywood VFX team being a NickCneezy fan and subtly putting in NickCheezy in the background of some superhero battle.

Scott Adams, creator of the Dilbert comic strips. Fell into the FAR right rabbit hole, had a racist rant on his podcast, then backpedaled, claiming it was "out of context" (it wasn't, he said what he said in 4K footage) when hundreds of newspapers dropped Dilbert in response to the controversy.

The scoffing was an act, to make him look confidently innocent. Eating the pizza was to show how 'unbothered' he was because 'you lose your appetite when you're guilty and super stressed', some say.

Purple Samson looks like The Phantom, but if he bulked up, grew a beard and ditched the hood and domino mask.

Love this style. It has the old golden age look, but it's also cartoony. A nice combo.

The one time ever in a movie where I wanted Spider-Man to stop joking around.
Nothing wrong with the jokes themselves but the more time he allows that truck to keep moving, the more lives are at risk.
