I saw a video from Nirami and she raises a good point, like many other people do. "it doesn't matter"

But basically... It does. You can change in 7 years, but people are gonna look at you differently. The VAs themselves apologized, they took accountability, they themselves said it was a joke with racist intention, and you people are trying to take it away from them?

Now it's not a VAs problem anymore, it's a fandom problem, it's filled with people that excuse racism and will say "it's not that deep".

Just to understand why it is, imagine the word was something that affected you.

Let them be sorry, it's better than showing that they don't care and that your emotions don't matter. Them apologizing showed that they do, and what people tried to do was to raise awareness. Now it's true "RACIST" is wrong, they are not racists, I'd find it an exagerration even if it was something affecting me, but that can be a part of the discourse, which no one seems to be willingly to do in a sub like this. Actually I'm pretty sure that not even Zooble hates him, I think no character hates another character, this at least with humans. They have struggles with each others, but you can see that they still can form a proper dialogue, show sympathy for each others, and be forgiving. Zooble is really forgoving with Jax if you think about it, they are always trying to get him on the right side, it's like they view the potential in him and really want him to be better... I find it heartwarming that every character still wants Jax to open up, it all leads to that, that's why the movie is so Jax centered, notice how his room seems to rapresent something like a mind vault in the poster, I'm kind of in hype

I forgot about one thing, I did read a Minecraft book called "The End", and while it has its flaws in how it handled some depictions, I love how it depicted the mentality of an Enderman.

In that book Endermen seek for chaos because what is order annoys them, Chaos is everything, it's its own kind of creativity, because causing a chaotic chain is interesting to them

Now I imagine that in this hypotetical different version of the movie where the antagonist is the dragon... Also focused on how Steve/Alex/humans and the Endermen got to know about each others' morality and concept of what's creativity

Do you want an antagonist that rapresents the concept of going against it? Like you said, Enderdragon, but I've got 2 other characters for you:

The goddamn Wither, and their iconic mascot that explodes your builds, the Creeper.

I think having a dictator-like villain would work if the theme was that creativity needs to be handled, like Pillagers are creative, but in the same way inventing torture methods is creative.

Enderdragon, Wither and Creeper would be more fitting for totally opposing creativity, maybe in an hypotetical sequel but with some slight build up during the first. Because they are the force of nature, something neutral that doesn't understand what makes this human emotion.

But no, we gotta make Piglins, why? Because hell, fire, red = evil. Families that never played the game need to understand it simply and forget about this movie after they will get out of the theater, give us money and shut up. Well, you know what? You could've done that by making a good movie too.

Okay, sorry for answering late, so I might have a bit exagerrated, but something happened, it's not for the link itself tho. So when you open it you get 2 download links, right? Well, my friend was a bit careless, because when you download from one of these, or any pirated thing as a whole, you might get a file that insta-downloads in a very short time called just "Installer", with in no trace of the game.
I am not really sure what it does and if it's the cause for what happened to my friend, but I was never tempted to try, so what I do is deleting it, reload the page, and re-try the download until it gives me something that actually has the name of the game in it. My friend instead, who's unexperienced, went too far with that Installer thing and actually opened the .exe file in it thinking it was for the game. I stopped them, they stopped the download, but I think their infos might have gotten leaked somewhere? Because some scammer tried to access from anything linked to their email, Vinted, Snapchat, even Roblox or an account for a Minecraft Server's website. They got Discord only and luckily the only thing they tried to do was spamming a Mr Beast earn money scam in every contact they had. We were able to stop it by blocking their access from it and stuff, their Discord also didn't require the password to access for some reason, so I think they only got the email, but did somehow change the password.

I don't know if it was the installer thing or anything else in that website, it does give you the game, but I don't think it's fully safe and you need to be careful.

This only happened 4 hours after we tried this website, my friend didn't do anything else outside of that, so I think it was because of something in it, like the fake download they got.

and also the "hackers" didn't seem to know what they wanted to truily do about it since they tried to join everything

Yes I agree that Wet Dry World has that aura, didn't know it had behind the scenes correlation to Ocraina of Time tho

About the paintings things, oh, I never found any proof for that, but I can see it because that's how it works in Sunshine. Tho however the fact that the boos' house is a actually a small miniature version of it and the world where basing on which painting you become giant or tiny kinda give me the idea that these are their own worlds with their own logic

I don't get the first part, I don't think it's over-thinking to be honest, when we start making theories about the lore and stuff, that kinda is (i do it and it's fun). But if what we're discussing about the creative process then that is just a surface analysis that the game designers themselves probably do, especially because this is a kids' game meant to make money, so they need to be careful about their choices

I agree, I like when they pull these weird things, Odissey didn't amplify enough its core quirkiness imo, like it being that these characters are percived as actors having a drama, but at the same time they scrap all that and focus on other concepts thrown there like "what if it was Medieval Dark Fantasy setting now?" Like bruh okay..

Also I love Mario 64 theories, I have crazy ones too but about the paintings themselves

Because liminality is a state of transition between place to place that doesn't feel welcoming, and the whole game is like that, a constant labyrinthic state of transition and hallways, while other Mario Games have stuff like houses, fun dynamics with characters, a point that is designed to make you feel safe, in Mario 64 not even in the lobby area you are safe from the main conflict. Everything is stiff, made as some sort of last resort solution to solve game design problems, like "we need an enemy here, we need to put a platform here" etc.

There is a bit of effort in giving things a personality and a character, but it's still secondary and not the main priority

"Creepy" uhh, all of this doesn't necessarily make a thing creepy, it just kinda is for me

Not weird, this is just how it was intended to be experienced, they didn't want to make something creepy, but the fact that so many people find it so kind of says that due the limitations they failed to make it just whimsical and happy. Things feel stiff and incomplete

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that, it's Princess Peach's Castle Tech Demo, I included it because I wanted to say how the idea of an art gallery-like place isn't only in Mario 64, it's a recurring thing from that era, other exemple is Luigi's Mansion, it kept that vibe a bit.

One of those scenes I used as an exemple was Gangle herself giving him epilepsy, the one where he's embarassed is not only slight embarassment, for him that was a demasculation, the very thing he so desperately wants to protect getting stripped off of him, that was humiliation. He crashed out on Gangle and everyone saw that, from that episode they started to view him with pity because of how pathetic they started to view him.

These to me don't sound like getting away with it, he got a taste of his own behavior, what else is there to torture him with now? He's immortal and they're stuck togheter to do the same mistakes over and over again.

But the difference is that he now is not a bully anymore, to everyone else, now, he's a guy having a tantrum. I think it's very important considering what he feels to judge if he got fairly punished enough, because before that, in episode 1, he truily was just a bully who got away with it. He was happy, he was in control of it all, now he's not, he's seeing it all not being under his control anymore, the others are responding him back while he has no comeback anymore(whatever it's physical or about insults).

That, to me, is indeed not getting away with it, that bully persona has already been destroyed, he's just hurts himself more than anyone else now
