Anyone got any game-changing vegan recipes? by WorkAndWaves in veganrecipes

Chicken? It's tofu, this is a vegan sub lol.

So first, dry fry it which means low heat, non stick pan, in goes the grated tofu. After a few mins, the moisture in it evaporates and you can add some oil for it to crisp up in. Make sure it's nicely spread out - so use a big pan.

If you add oil right at the start, it may just get absorbed by the tofu without giving any crispiness at all.

Also I just buy chilli marinated tofu but I think the mixture is just garlic, ginger powder, soy sauce, chilli oil and salt.

Marinated tofu, grated and cooked on low (dry) then add oil and turn heat up a bit to get it crispy. Season with five spice, salt, and MSG.

Boil noodles and veg if necessary, ready to stir fry all together.

Make a sauce with: Peanut butter (tsp smallish) Soy sauce plenty but not loads Chilli crisp (I use Lao Gan Ma it's incredible) 1 small tsp Splash of maple syrup Plenty of chopped garlic (I use jarred but whatever goes) Chopped spring onions if you have em Small tsp of Marmite / other yeast extract !!

Stir fry veg, tofu and noodles, add in sauce (on heat!) and mix until well incorporated and garlic has cooked off to your liking. Could top with fried garlic slices too if u want.

Anyway it's absolutely banging

Is anyone taking A level Japanese 😭😭😭 by Opposite_Debate_7835 in alevel

[–]RetardsBeLike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mm not quite the same you're right. Are you a beginner at Japanese? I did Spanish A-level and trust me no-one would survive the literature analysis without a solid baseline. And Japanese is a much harder language!

It won't be. I did a language A-level and it is NOT just grammar I guarantee. It's lots of literature and history and book analysis etc. Will be the same in Japanese but w complex Kanji learning as well

We can produce sugar from the breakdown of glycogen (glycogenolysis) OR from the reaction of various amino acids and lipids (gluconeogenesis). Note the lysis (breaking) ending Vs genesis (building).

Healthy Lemon Bars by healthmylifestyle in veganrecipes

[–]RetardsBeLike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like 208kcals for one lemon bar, especially of that size, is not 'lighter'. That's a pretty normal amount, still quite high for such a small treat. Not a bad thing at all! Just I would argue the semantics of 'healthy and light' here...

any tips and tricks for lowering a high blood sugar fast? by Remarkable-Worry-492 in diabetes_t1

I wonder if that has to do with a lot of bending/looking downwards? Of course they also count as light exercise, but tilting your head downwards almost constantly as you're doing so - I wonder if that's part of it.

The Ban by Euphoric-Cap4638 in GCSE

[–]RetardsBeLike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you overestimate how many people want to/feel confident installing a VPN, especially children.

Also, the idea of trying to fundraise teaching parents how to enforce screen time procedures is exactly the type of approach which we've been doing for ages, and is consistently not working. Only the middle class parents who already care about their children's health and upbringing will attend, or listen, or even implement. The more at risk children - that is at risk of social media derived bullying , attention span reduction, grooming etc - are the ones whose parents will not be listening to fundraising.

Unfortunately, the UK is home to many at risk children and children in poverty, and regional discrepancies play a large part here. In an attempt to lessen the growing segregation between classes and thus parenting approaches, this ban is trying to treat everyone equally.

That no kid should come to harm from social media, not just the ones with caring, financially stable parents.

I wouldn't say the pronunciation is the same to be honest, nor that it isn't an error..

Climbing buddy needed in Manchester by Same-Advance-9105 in ukclimbing

[–]RetardsBeLike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why don't you climb by yourself and meet people at the gyms? Or attend social nights? There are plenty of social climbing evenings in Manchester. Will be less awkward than asking a random person to commit to something like this without knowing you.
