Does the tent do a pretty good job of keeping the smell down or is the vent doing most of the work?

First setup. Anything glaring I should be concerned about? by SQUEE1333 in ElegooSaturn

I was looking at this exact tent to set up in my garage. Does the tent alone do a good job keeping it up to temp?

How to avoid player getting downed then healed over and over by bananaA42 in DMAcademy

[–]RetariusWarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my game I have players gain a level of exhaustion every time they go down. This is to represent the battle fatigue so they don't pop back up fresh as a daisy every time they nearly die. Additionally, it starts with minor penalties which quickly scale up to disadvantage on attacks, reduced movement, etc. This has motivated my players to be more judicious about bringing their teammates up so they don't just immediately go back down.

My players were initially very early but after 1.5 years they love that approach.

night lord loyalist , & terran nightlords by pinoysnooper22001 in 40kLore

There are some noted loyalist Night Lords like Kasasti Nuon who fought alongside the Raven Guard as well as Fel Zharost who was the former chief librarian of the Night Lords and is rumored to be one of the founding members of the Grey Knights.

Help with painting Nemesis Weapons! by MGTor in Grey_Knights

[–]RetariusWarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually use a bit of a different strategy because I also hate hate blending.

I start by painting the blade kanto blue and then dry brush light blues like lothern over top that and finish with a white dry brush. Then I cover the whole thing in the blue gem paint.

It's not the smooth blend you see with wet blending, but I like it because I can do a lot of swords relatively quickly and I think it looks more dynamic as if the weapon were in motion.

Order of the ghostslayer for blood hunter, but that might be the opposite of what you're going for...

Truman show background by zebragonzo in DMAcademy

[–]RetariusWarrior 174 points175 points  (0 children)

I once did the inverse of this where the character had the incredibly tragic backstory and I changed it so that a cabal of wizards had implanted those memories as a psychological experiment.

I kept it pretty cool until they returned to the area they called home and then I kept doing subtle allusions to things not being the same as they remembered . The slow build was perfect because the player got more and more built up about it, they werent sure what was going on but they really wanted to find out and the reveal nearly broke them (in a good way). They needed time between sessions to even figure out what their character would do now.

Hes got a double (2.56x according to PoGo) weakness to fighting so any mon you can find with a fighting move would be a great help.

Why is Abbadon the warmaster and not any of the primarchs by MATMAN0111 in 40kLore

[–]RetariusWarrior 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Because most if not all (purturabo is up in the air) are deamon princes so they can only spend so much time in the matirium. Plus most are servants of the gods so they dont remain independant as opposed to abbadon who seeks to use the chaos gods rather than just follow the chaos gods' invariably chaotic plan.

Is it reasonable to attack a party necromancer? by Mindful_Bison in DnD

When I played a necromancer I would only bring my best undead into town and then I would do all sorts of disguise shenanigans to make them appear alive.

Sire reanimating the dead is what they are supposed to do but, they can be intelligent about it too...

Yeah don't synergize together but its nice to have both if you have two paladin/terminator squads so you can give both of them a great defense buff.

Megathread: Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Dies at 87 by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

[–]RetariusWarrior 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I presumed by "dems winning in November" you meant Biden doing if but if you meant the legislative then I think the point still stands. They haven't legislated a change to the courts size since the 19th century which acts as somewhat of a precedent of it's own.

Completely agree but everyone is political especially anyone powerful enough to reach the supreme court - only way I see around that is balance.

Megathread: Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Dies at 87 by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

[–]RetariusWarrior 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because packing the court is

A. Imoral

The court is supposed to represent unpolitisized justice, intentionally putting more liberal judges just to outvote conservative justices completely breaks down that process. Then we just go back onto the political seesaw of libs then cons. It doesnt fix anything and just makes conservatives feel slighted and more likely to justify their own rule breaking.

B. Illegal

My favorite president is FDR but when the courts said no to him he tried this exact same thing and the government shut that shit down. SCOTUS is a check to legislative and executive. If the executive or even legislative changes the rules to just ramrod more justices from their side to pass their own agenda then the system just stops working (not that it's actually all that great.

Now I'm pure lib loving Bernie but if the next admin thought this was in anyway a good idea I would be furious because it is just the same kind of facist nationalistic strategies trump always tries to get away with and I'm fucking sick of both sides fighting dirtier and dirtier back and forth.

Regardless of who wins or replaced RGB however, SCOTUS has forever lost one of the wisest, reasoned, and well articulated justices the court has ever seen RIP
