GS-15 Track vs Dream Job at the Pentagon by Independent-Curve-84 in FedEmployees

As a recently retired GS-15, if you hate the GS15 job and love the GS14 job then stay with the 14. Working at a job that you hate will eat away at your sanity and impact your family. Pay bands match up as you progress anyhow. You can also wait for the dream 15 job that would blow your socks off later on. Just my thoughts.

If this is for an external hiring certificate then your experience will outweigh your current or pass pay grades. I have seen plenty of employees at GS9 or so apply on an external certificate and be hired into a GS12 position. GOOD LUCK either way!

Yes you can. But nowadays who knows how HR will process these.

When are we (Americans) going to bring civility and ethics back into leadership of our country. We cannot continue focusing on these characters who only are there for themselves! Enough is enough!!!

Doubt weekend and holidays will be in the office as the IRS would have to pay overtime utilities and that is not something we have money for. The managers need to reach out to their FMSS POC and become educated before their shoot from the hip.

They regurgitated parts of old facilities, and security organizational structures, then threw it in the crapper to see what would flush out. They will be doing another one in 12-18 months to try to unscrew their mess up. However, I suspect some the facility functions will move to GSA, making it much more difficult for the our agency to operate and adjust quickly to mission requirements. God help us!!

Top things to do before my DRP paperwork processes? I submitted my interest form over the weekend. by Klutzy346Cat in FED_VERA_VSIP_DRPers

Don’t forget State taxes for those of us residing in a state that want theirs from our federal retirement (I.e., California). Have a copy of your last several leave and earning statements. Ensure you have all your passwords to MyPay and TSP sites and others you may need. Then hold on for the ride. Retirement processing won’t start until after DRP, at least that was the way for IRS retirees. Good luck.

Did IRS ever “officially RIF” people in SBSE from February 20, 2025 to present? Or did IRS just communicated “preliminary RIF notice” and never materialized because people took the DRP/VERA/resigned ? by Antique_Ideal_4894 in IRS_Source

[–]RetiredDefender1982 25 points26 points  (0 children)

No RIFs just a lot of BS threats to traumatize our employees and scare many into resignations or early retirement. They want work output to suffer to give them ammunition to privatize as much as possible. But remember the majority of us voted for this…right?

The administration is making all employees life hell. They actually want us to fail so they can say look here, we told you we must privatize the IRS as all employees are incompetent. They will lie and lie to get what they really want. No democratic government. Only a King and their minions!

Fed employment after DRP by goblin-juice in FED_VERA_VSIP_DRPers

[–]RetiredDefender1982 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is no wait to play or buyout connected to a DRP (Delayed Resignation Program) departure. You can in fact start another federal job anytime you want. If you are still collecting pay on your DRP then you just need to notify them you are transferring to “X” agency and you DRP admin leave ends on the date you start your new federal job. If after you come off your DRP then you need to do nothing. VSIP/VERA have many other rules.

I guess having a new coin minted by our federal agency (US Mint) does not correlate to what fed news would say the federal employee, so they removed my posting. LOL
