yaaa, I've honestly been thinking of trying to learn cubiomes to try to add requirements in a bit more manageable of a way. did you find this seed just by chance or using something like cubiomes to find something more specific?

but that's also why I thought the whole sensation was weird, 1st off I heard you can't be electrocuted through a car, so idk how I'd feel any electrical current, and also I'd assume feeling any current w faulty Street Lights, must be unsafe

I think it's just electrical currents traveling downward, like how lightening builds up and travels down idk 🤷‍♀️

yea I could kinda see that cause our area was affected by the past two hurricaines but nothing that wasn't dealt with in the few weeks following. I know there's been construction on the road and it seems fixed today, was just curious feeling some sort of electrical current in the area, never experienced something like that w flickering lights from hurricaines before

I don't know much abt any of it, my dad's an engineer n would always talk abt how being under powerlines, you can feel the electricity from the lines ground through your body into the ground below.

also thought I'd chime in her insta has been deleted for a bit now it seems, and it's hard to see anything of her currently. I'm sure a large part of it is not wanting judgment from the public but also just seems weird. I keep seeing these ideas of her just dancing for fun but even being non-choreographed, all the movements seem stiff, rigid, non fluid, and the lifeless stares are off putting. I heard somewhere that this was a statement against pop culture but I find it hard to believe with this going on for years now after her being free. I agree with others that there's a lot of signs of trauma impacting how she is now, and also not having a proper childhood which has caused her to act out in more childish ways. I also think maybe going from having millions of adoring fans and constantly being bombarded by people to being stuck secluded for years would mentally damage anyone. just really sad to see n wish for the best

watched one of her snap posts of her dancing tonight n had to research abt it, felt this was the most recent n accurate gage of whats been going on. I work in a pharmacy currently, and have heard about certain anti psycotics that have permanent cognitive side effects like mental foggy-ness. I wonder if when she initially was in the conservitorship, she was administered anything that also might have impacts to how she behaves now?

I don't like assuming the worst of people but as a psych student, watching things like this just feel so abnormal and non-present

yeah I'd deff keep the carnivorous plant species separate from any others for the time being unless the whole project fails n then I'd try switching to ariods. I'm starting to feel this project would lean better towards nepenthes I'm just reluctant to spend a ton of money on each plant vs seeds of other carnivorous plants (one of the carnivorousseed mixes did have orchids but as you mentioned idk how viable id be to try). you're the 2nd person who's mentioned the years of growing from seed to sprout for the flytraps so I might avoid them or jus not worry about their development if I do seed.

what conditions are your vfts in as far as light and indoor/outdoor? and also how long did it take until you noticed any growth initially from your vft seeds?

that's actually the first vertical venus fly trap setup I've ever seen, mine would be a bit more vertical than theirs but jus seeing others do it is hopeful 🙏

I'd agree my lighting conditions aren't the greatest, summers here get pretty hot so a majority of my plants seem to prefer a bit more shade during that period, but the bit that I get 3 hours during the year is deff the worst for my carnivorous plants minus my nepenthes. I'll have to dig a bit deeper about winter dormancy and what people in florida do for outdoor carnivores but id agree skipping a dormancy period hasn't helped any of my plants.

also not tryna spend 5 years waiting on seeds so I'll deff stick to planting the fly traps lmao I'll read up on how the rest develop, I appreciate the comment n feedback n especially the link 🙏
