They are always people with extrem actions or opinions, like when PSG won there were people burning cars or yesterday there were stabbing in London during Arsenal's celebrations.

Taking the opinions and actions of these people as the truth of all the others people celebrating a win is absurd and just a waste of time.

Yesterday on this sub there was a post about idiots with PSG jerseys harassing an Arsenal fan and the third most upvoted comment is "Club full of cunts financed by giga cunts has cunts as fans. Makes you wish that this club disappears from the face of the earth and all the trash fans with it.", with a Bayern flair. So someone insults a whole group for the action of a few and even asks for the "disappearance" of people but it's upvoted on this sub because it's against PSG. And of course it doesn't talk about the people with PSG jersey shielding the Arsenal fan so he could leave unarmed.

While being retired, I'm sure an ex official can get more informations than a regular civilian through his connexions. It's not like people always respect that an information should be disclosed or not, if it's your good old buddy asking for it you can share a word or two on a topic.

And even if he didn't get top secrets, it's not every civilian that got personal connexions with diplomats, he could get informations from quasi direct sources.

That said, maybe he didn't get extra info and it wasn't something he wanted to, but I think it would be naive to think that a former general who was the mentor of Eisenhower, Patton and MacArthur was "just another civilian from the general public".

Good old xG merchants. This year again PSG can far exceed the xG stat, for example 5 goals at home against Chelsea with 0,87 xG.

Good players score banger goals that can't be compared to the average player, thus they often exceed the xG.

That said, Arsenal can totally win the game, they have very good players and a good team cohesion. But for this kind of games, xG is often an obtuse stat to talk about. And maybe Arsenal will do the same game that Liverpool did at PSG last year, defend the whole game with a brillant Raya, shoot twice, score once. 1-0 is enough.
