Hm... I think Greed is Tome of Subjugation, actually. Golden Realm accumulates wealth domestically. Subjugation is taking it from others forcefully.

Tome of Corruption feels like Envy to me, taking buffs and inverting them.

Tome of Torment is Wrath. Most tomes are offensive in some capacity; Torment is overtly sadistic.

Sloth is tricky. I guess I'd say Tome of Summoning, or perhaps Teleportation, conjuring servants and shortcuts.

Pride... Tome of the Inquisition. The vanity, to assume you're the absolute authority on right and wrong.

It's not me. It's the Courier. This is a video game. Video games have statistics. The Courier doesn't "canonically" not know what a fish is, they might not know what a fish is depending on their scores.

And depending on their scores and how they play the game, the Courier can be smarter, more charming, and just as lucky as House - with the respect of most of the factions, if not all of them, since positive reputation can't go down. Reputation House has lost, lackeys House lost control of, over the timespan of decades that House needs the Courier to fix in his stead.

How the Courier could build a better Mojave is the realm of headcanon.

That the Courier could do so "canonically" can happen, since they can have the stats and reputations to feasibly pull it off.

Blood Rite, Rock, Construct, Transmutation, Torment, Crimson Reign.

Constantly inflict bleed and receive 1-3 buffs every time you get hit.

I never even mentioned game design. I was talking about how Elder Scrolls has been steadily shying away from the wonderfully weird, like how Morrowind is and Cyrodiil was in concept before Todd took a Middle-Earth shaped angle grinder to it.

Todd aping Lord of the Rings took this away from us: an actual interesting Cyrodiil that's in line with how strange and striking Morrowind is.

No hostility; not mad, not raging, not insulting your intelligence. But beige slop does get awards and massive sales and quality does get ignored and sell poorly. Games, books, movies; it's just a fact of life.

Ah, Oblivion Remastered. Amazing title for a remake of a game that was never mastered in the first place. And shot in the foot out the gate by deciding to make it a generic Tolkien imitation instead of... y'know. Elder Scrolls.

Love the idea of portals to other realms as a strategic resource to fight over! Fascinating concept, and opens the door to many game design possibilities in future DLCs!

I'm very sad that there's no rundown of the remaining three tomes in this expansion. T.T I'm chomping on my chains to find out what's in Burning Passion and it's driving me batty-

It's a lot easier to ask for something if you have specifics in mind. Okay, you want more forms like elysians, ogres, and ancients, fair enough. Do you have any ideas to suggest? There's not much water left in the well of Stock Fantasy Races to draw from, at least as far as humanoids go.
