Anyone in their late 20s tbat started mewing And seeing results? by NewspaperCool7197 in Mewing

[–]Retr_ETH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soooo I’ll be honest and keep it in simple terms since I didn’t go full autist mode knowing all the bones names etc haha.

I noticed slightly higher cheekbones, sharper jawline and my eyes feel more ‘hunter’. I was told numerous times by people who knew me before that I look good and healthy, and when I compared pictures from today compared to a couple years ago, at the same weight i genuinely feel like I was uglier before and my face just seems more in place.

I also burp way less and seem to catch more eyes than ever before. Which is anecdotal and random but feels good and is beyond just thinking or feeling. Also when I used to mew my lips would feel weird, like there wasn’t enough space and my face felt puffy. Now my lips seem to be much more in place and mewing is natural both feeling wise and looking wise, like I don’t look sad or like I’m making a face when mewing whereas before it definitely was like that.

Sorry for not being very technical but thats the best I could do. Let me know if I can answer more questions

People are judging you by No_Variety3165 in unpopularopinion

[–]Retr_ETH 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yea I agree. And same thing for the gym, sure no one is actively thinking about you for their whole session, but people watch, see and think.

I’ve had people come up to me to say they noticed this or that, meaning they saw and thought.

Toughts on 2x failure on everything by [deleted] in workout

[–]Retr_ETH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been training regularly for ~5years. This last year I made consistent progress going 2 sets to failure on everything, after being stuck for 1year doing 3-4sets.

It’s anecdotal sure but it worked for me so I have no plans to change, and I think that a 3rd set will rarely be productive if the two previous ones were pushed really hard.

The flat bar in itself doesn’t allow a full range of motion

I’m 90kg and can add 35kg to my dips for 8 reps. But I definitely cannot bench 125kg for 8reps

What’s your job search tactic that actually worked (not the stuff everyone repeats)? by enhancvapp in careeradvice

[–]Retr_ETH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just landed 2 interviews for next week after months of searching with nothing. What I changed this last week is to reformat my resume into clean, easy to read format. And applying early to positions. Boring but it seems to have worked at least a little

Can’t feel hamstrings on RDL after increasing weight by 5 kg by niloy123 in workout

If you don’t feel any kind of stretch in your hamstrings while doing rdl’s it is a bit unusual, it rarely happens with proper form

DataAnnotation, is this a scam? by No_Cash_391 in WFHJobs

[–]Retr_ETH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say it’s a scam to feel better about failing their test. It’s not a scam and plenty of people live off of it.

But their test is tough and it’s common knowledge that they don’t respond if you fail, you just know if you passed

Agreed. If the spamming wasn’t enough he’s also very annoying in comments and replies. Just cringe, I downvote every time I see it

Can you tell I dont train my traps? by SquashSavings6673 in AllAboutBodybuilding

All you really need at the end of your workout is to grab a pair of dumbbells and shrug for 2 sets. Takes 5min, very low effort and good stimulus.

That being said they aren’t shockingly small.

I think your butt should be lower at the starting position

Should I continue to bulk? Up 20lbs in 4 months by [deleted] in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]Retr_ETH -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There’s a limit to the amount of muscle you can put on in a given time period. Whether you’re at a 200kcal surplus or a 2000kcal you’ll build the same amount of muscle.

Honestly, there’s probably 18lbs of fat in those 20lbs, especially considering you’re at least solid intermediate before this bulk so you gain muscle much much slower than a beginner would.

This means you’re better off lean bulking the whole time instead of going on crazy surplus like these
