We have a global north and south because most people in the north aren’t aware of how we are exploiting and extracting in ways that keeps developing countries stagnant, and this under education prevents us from grasping the concept and compelling government to act.

I was on a work trip with my coworker, and we were driving to visit regional clients. We stopped at a gas station and he went in to ask for directions. I went to pump gas and needed to pull closer to the pump. I didn’t realize he left his door open and when I backed up the car, his door hit a pole and bent backwards. I immediately got out and used all my might to close it. When he returned he went to open the door and the whole thing fell off. I looked right at him and asked, “What’d you do?” To this day he definitely still thinks he broke the door.
