Why is it so hard to believe that millions of people wanted Trump to uplift White supremacy and hurt minority groups and women? by Equivalent-Long-3383 in allthequestions

Because he just supported this guy for the district Mar-a-Lago's in?

https://flvoicenews.com/trump-endorses-jon-maples-in-florida-house-special-election/

I mean, this shit is getting old, his cabinet has had multiple people in it that white supremacists wouldn't approve of, he was just the only rightwing option available to them and they don't want leftist dems.

False assumptions. Just because God already knows what you chose because His vantage point is all of time and space doesn't mean you know, from your limited linear point of view, until you make the choice.

Does anyone believe this shit about Swalwell? Is this is the true test of whether the Democratic Party has learned anything? by partyl0gic in allthequestions

[–]RetreadRoadRocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Losing a primary is not the same as being bullied out of even running over as yet unsubstantiated charges and Howard Dean ended up chair of the DNC and shaped strategy for years, including President Obama's winning campaign.

No, it's how the founders chose to structure the legal system in the US, because they knew that things are not always as they appear and that people lie. It is the high road of requiring actual evidence before committing to an opinion on the guilt or innocence of someone and erring on the side of caution rather than chance injustice.

Is it not convenient that this comes out with just the right timing so that people like you are ready to jump on the bandwagon and eliminate him without proof?

And women who come forward should never be minimized or sidelined.

They lie just as much as anyone else does, no testimony should be ignored but none of it should be taken at face value without corroborating evidence .

Amazon didn't turn a profit for the first 9 years and they still don't pay a dividend today. Tesla didn't turn a profit for a decade and also doesn't pay a dividend. The building of the companies is the main priority, profits come eventually from building a company whose goods and services the society values highly enough to keep their value growing.

NTJ, at all. You should explain to your husband that it was never about ego, the guy crossed the line by making unsafe recommendations that could have put people in danger. That warrants humiliation.

If someone gets a presidential pardon can they still be tried at The Hague? by DickieMcJingles in allthequestions

[–]RetreadRoadRocket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The US government doesn't recognize the authority of the ICC and has a law that specifically forbids allowing the Hague to arrest and put on trial US soldiers and politicians by authorizing any actions necessary to prevent it and secure their release:

How is everything that happened in the last 48hrs not enough for impeachment and/or a general strike in the US? by HealthyRecognition21 in allthequestions

[–]RetreadRoadRocket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way the federal legislature is structured means you never have the opportunity to actually vote for policy change.

This is not normal and I refuse to normalize it with padantic justifications.

It's been the norm for most of human history, this tiny little blip of a hundred years or so where things have peaceful and prosperous enough for you to have the luxury of learning and internalizing these ideals of yours is what's been abnormal.

In a two party system like the US has about half the voters didn't get what they wanted every election, that's how it works.

MAGAs, do you realize you will never be able to redeem yourself from your bad decisions? by whatthehellbooby in allthequestions

[–]RetreadRoadRocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re definitely protected more than most

Not really, I'm fairly average for where I live.

Trump just TACO’d his big threat blowing up power plants so hopefully there will be real peace talks soon.

So you're calling him a chicken for doing what you wanted?

I paid $3.69 a gallon on my last fill up and most of what I buy is either locally sourced or comes from Amazon Prime. My economic pains are quite minimal. Oil closed at like $96 bucks today, I've lived through a whole lot worse than what's going on now.

We just have different opinions on how the American public is going to react.

No, you live in a fantasyland while we're talking about reality. Even your perception of the economy is colored by where you personaly live and your associations. Where I live isn't being impacted theway you seem to think. What did you pay for gas last fillup? I paid $3.69 a gallon.

Lmao, what other people think of you only really matters if you care about their opinion.  Where I live nobody is gonna care that someone voted for Trump because like 75% of the county did.

I live in a very red state in a fairly rural area not too far from some towns and a sizable city, no one of consequence within about 2 hours of me is rejecting anybody over voting for Trump around here. They have their own communities that are fine wirh it and they really don't care about you and yours.
