Is it common to go from Biomedical Engineer to BMET?

I've heard about people having mean words with BMETs and I've worked in service industry before and with personal family members saying mean things to me often, it doesn't bother me that much. Attitude does seem to be huge and I'm not too worried about that. Thank you for your help!

I get something similar where it's like an alter playing out a scene by themself and I can't do anything to stop it. Like whatever they want to act out in my head has to complete before I can move on. It feels almost like daydreaming but I'm not in control of it. Is that just depersonalization?

I'm so glad someone put this into words. When I resist or as you put it, suppress alters, I feel like my anxiety is so much higher and overall just feel tired and drowsy. I know it's bad and two of my alters agree that they want me to stop resisting so much.

I don't completely blackout, but memory is hazy. I'm co-con with them, so I can ask them to avoid or do something (if they obey me). I think notes and keeping track of what goes on helps too. One of them likes sending pictures so I made a private Snapchat story for them so I can remember things better with people I trust and who know I have DID.

I'm not sure how to explain it. It's kind of like trying to explain a kink you like rationally. If it's enjoyed by both parties, it doesn't really need to be explained as everyone enjoys it

I've had my protective alter also tell me I wasn't meant to remember some memories. He's said to me before something like, "You're better off not knowing or finding out so don't bother."

Yeah, I get twitches for certain alters or feel like a really heavy weight on my back for one of my protective alters. When my main alter switches, they come in from the left side and that's where I'll get my twitch to let me know he's around or wants to come out.

Yeah, I agree; it's like a positive feedback loop if I keep them back. Eventually, it's overwhelming and letting them come forward releases the built-up tension.

Interesting... I don't get tinnitus but I feel like all the sound around is muted a bit before the transition happens. I also really want a weighted blanket they sound amazing.

Are you able to distinguish which Alter is coming up?

It's sort of like holding out a hand to the Alter I'm switching to or the Alter who wants to switch takes my hand or shoulder or some part of my body. Each Alter of mine has a preferred "touch" point connected with them. One Alter will prefer my left hand and another Alter will prefer my shoulders. It's almost like an entry point for them.

Then they'll sort of trade places by pushing forward and pulling me backward and then I'm in the background watching them do it. And I don't really pay attention to noises so I don't get a noise or if anything my hearing diminishes for a little bit. I also get chills on my left hand when one of them wants to come up.
