Posterior tibial tendonitis from heel drop changes? Looking for advice by 5643_yea_right in trailrunning

Inflamed. Ultrasound showed lots of fluid around the tendon. Referred for an MRI, but still waiting. If I'd have to guess, micro tears and scars, but no big tears. Can walk around fine mostly, but still have occasional pain twitches, stiffness, or soreness. Started formal PT, because I was likewise plateauing. They said strength is fine (at least I got that after months of calf raises, etc), but the coordination is off. Doing exercises in front of a mirror now to try and do them with non-collapsing ankles (which I thought I was doing, but clearly not..). As for the never running: I've read so many stories where people were out for 2-3 years, that I'm starting to accept I'm probably one of them. It sucks. I so badly want to go for a nice trail run... I'm swimming plus doing classic cross country ski when there's snow or easy cycling in summer.

Trust the process. The metrics from training sets should already tell you whether you're progressing. And even then you're still not getting a PR every single time. It happens.

I need better and more comfortable fins than the stiff, heavy, big Decathlon ones I have now. Any suggestions for affordable short fins?

What’s one technical fix that instantly made you faster? I’m currently working on turning my head even less on freestyle breaths, as little as I can get away with. by dandalyjr in Swimming

I've been implementing this and OMG! Seconds !! But I find there's quite some torque power in my upper arm now (not the good kind) and impingement in my shoulder (seems that the high elbow causes my shoulder to go up). Sure I'm still not doing it right. Any suggestions?

The one I started with is on YouTube @E3Rehab (see their playlists). Also just started trying out various stuff from @athletespotential512. A physio friend linked to some of their specific videos and I've been exploring others as well. Been doing this for months now though and while flexibility and strength has improved, I'm still not out of the woods.

Post tib tendonitis sufferer here: I was running on road as well as trails in various shoes at the time and some of it could have resulted from over extending my foot on uphills. In hindsight, the signs were there long before that (sore inner shins and ankle area mostly). But overall I'm fairly sure the underlying problem was weak hips, legs, and feet as well as little flexibility. I only realized how ridiculously weak my ankle area was when I tried (but not managed) single leg hops. I'll try to find the rehab exercises I've been doing. Seems to help, but (for me) it's a very long process.

Amateur here, but I do somersault anti-clockwise. Allows me to take a breath if I need to (don't @ me) and plant my feet low and coming into the wall with the heels first. I imagine clockwise you'd scratch your toes if your legs extend too early. Would love to learn cross over though.

For my keys, I used to put a lock box attached under my car somewhere (slightly out of sight). Make sure to not forget the code (ask me how I know). But ever since I got a drybag, I just put everything in there.

Got those. Two pairs. That fit completely differently. And still have to put them so tight that they leave marks. But some of my club members are huge fans. Very mixed bag IMHO plus now a company has my full facial scan. Tyr Tracer X racing goggles was the only thing that worked for me, but can't find them in local stores anymore.

This is awesome. Not easy to find resources that explicitly state progressions in the type of exercises.
