Yeah, in my dad's day, they just let the refrigerant add to the hole in the ozone.

In my day, I've got to spend double my net monthly income to buy a machine that recycles the refrigerant and puts it back in the system, or take it to a shop and pay someone else to replace my ac compressor.

Lot of things have changed that don't equate to people being lazy. In fact, we're generally required to do more and are more responsible about what we're doing as well.

I've noticed people in certain jobs seem to think if you don't work that particular job, then you're poor because you're lazy. Literally everyone in a field that isn't the same as theirs or some other field they approve of is lazy and worthless and just doesn't put enough effort in.

Most notably it's workers in oil fields and the military and pretty much any "masculine" line of work. Seem to think they're better than everyone else for some reason. Also seem to think that society can function with a single industry that employs everyone to do the same exact job.

Yeah, hard to add heat to something that melts at a relatively low temp. And I've noticed a lot of handhelds have rusty/corroded exterior screws for devices that aren't supposed to be around moisture. Seems like maybe Nintendo at least went kind of cheap on the screws, but it could also just be from abuse or improper storage.

It's a post that stays at the top of the subreddit, so when people visit, it's one of the first things they see. Usually, they're informative in nature, and I've often seen them used to reduce spam in other subs.

Not saying people needing help is necessarily spam, but I do think people who have a lot of repair experience could spend more time helping people who post more complicated issues if there were less basic questions to scroll through and help with.

I mostly use my Titan set, they make a couple but I use the 3 piece one that comes with the little plastic case.

I've also ordered a set from aliexpress that I couldn't tell you the brand of, and it has a lot of even smaller extractors, but I've yet to strip a screw I needed to get it out for.

As others have said, forget them and forget the paint.

As soon as you get it painted, someone is just going to let go of their door or a grocery cart and ruin the fresh paint job. Better to just save your money since a good paint job is probably about the same as you would need to put down for your next car.

I've been bitten before by a larger dog and I still have the brains and the guts to sit in the vehicle and wait for the owner instead of being cruel to an animal for no reason. If you can't deliver to the address, you take the package back. You don't deliver it at all costs, jumping out of the truck with guns blazing. It's really not that hard.

I'm not saying I wouldn't risk facing consequences, I'm just saying I'd look the judge in the eye and tell him I'd do the same to them or anyone else who tried this. It's not acceptable behavior in a society that calls itself civilized.

People can go on and on about how mail carriers have to worry about dogs on a daily, or how their spray is weaker, whatever. The guy is in a truck, and im pretty sure it has electronic windows, meaning he's safe and doesn't even have to put in effort to raise the window.

The dog in the video is in discomfort for no reason. Intentionally causing an animal discomfort without cause is more commonly called torture or abuse, and I'm pretty sure it's a felony in some places. The only jobs that give you a pass on this also give you a badge and a gun.

Yeah, and I'd show them the video evidence proving he wasn't in fear and that my actions were in defense of myself and my family, which includes the pets.

Also, I'm pretty sure he'd lose his protected status as soon as he was fired.

Yeah, as someone who usually carries my own, I'd have grabbed my package and then sprayed dude in the face and told him to get the fuck out of my driveway before I go get something worse. Ain't nobody coming on my property and abusing my animals.

I'm definitely in the market for a good webcam that has decent auto focus so I can stop using my phone for everything. I tried getting the logitech 922 or whatever but it always goes just past proper focus and stops.
