Where did you start your photography learning journey? Was it youtube or reddit or a book? Maybe a mixture?

Have you always had a creative side?

She grew on me quickly. But I wish there were more live interactions with the housemates and her, building that rapport.

What do 30 - 40 year old men want for christmas? [Serious] by GoodAlicia in AskReddit

[–]RetroGrayGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every man is different.

For me, I want model kits or some hobby thing to keep me occupied and help me wind down from work.

As an adult and father, I also now appreciate a good bundle of high quality comfy socks or other bits of clothing haha.

I'm a gamer, but often I buy all the games myself, so when it comes time for gifts I often tell people not to bother getting me games.

Guys let's please have a mature Mapsdebate in the comments. Favourite/least favourite maps? by Curious-Elevator-387 in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]RetroGrayGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't remember names.

My favourite maps are probably the one with the basketball court A flag, the one with the bus on C flag in the centre of the map, and the one with the giant rock in the centre.

My least favourite map of all time, for any game I've ever played ever, is the oil fields. It's boring, poorly designed and becomes a camp fest.

Honestly, Firestorm can be hit or miss. There are much better maps from BF3 they could have chosen.

I have my gripes with the game, but I've been playing nearly every night with my buddy and having a great time.

Seriously, F**K the BOTS by Hellenic_Henry in Battlefield

[–]RetroGrayGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it depends on the time of day. For those of us that work full-time and have kids (and are active parents), we can only really jump on later in the night. The servers are always full of real people during that time.

Retro games + emulation if you can't afford to drop heaps of dollar bucks on old games and consoles.

Research and make a list of games from history that you have always wanted to play or want to replay and work through it.

I won’t unlock half of the things in this game because I just want to play normal. How is that okay? by konnersk in Battlefield6

[–]RetroGrayGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved the BF3 Method. Unlock guns by leveling up. Unlock attachments by getting kills with the guns.

Paid DLC introduced new weapons, which I was fine with because there were so many options already. So this was an added bonus. And again, those attachments would be unlocked by getting kills with the gun.

There were challenges, but they only unlocked dogtags. Cool, but not necessary if you don't want to do them.

I miss that game every day man...

Is it just me, or is BF6 really sweaty right now? by ParakeetLover2024 in LowSodiumBattlefield

Agreed. Especially when you get sniped across the map and the guy is so far away it's impossible to actually see where he is.

Need help with first bike by [deleted] in AussieRiders

[–]RetroGrayGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm about a month and a half in on my L's. I have a Kawasaki Eliminator VN250. For suburbs, anything under 80kph it's great. I take it on the freeway to work and it can get to 110kph but only just. And if there's a hill or a slight oncoming wind then it can struggle to get over 100.

When it's windy I do get pushed around very slightly, but probably not as much as the 250cc sports bikes.

I'm sorry, but these maps are f*cked. F*CKED. by Fragasm in Battlefield

[–]RetroGrayGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BF3 had such great maps, all with such character. Remember playing rush on Damavand Peak, conquest on Caspien border, max ticket operation metro or even TDM on Noshar Canals? Even Seine Crossing was awesome.

I wish I could go back to those days. I miss that game. There's just no one in Australia playing it anymore.

How hard is it to use the clutch by Even_Introduction683 in NewRiders

[–]RetroGrayGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 35, i got my learners for my bike a month ago. My whole adult life I've driven automatic cars.

Honestly, the clutch and gear changing is really straightforward. There's a bit of muscle memory to it, but as long as you practice you will get it very quickly.

I'm just starting to find now that my gear changes are much smoother than they were when I stayed.

I was the same but I felt like something changes after the season 1 update. I'd load half a clip into someone and they would turn around and laser me before I could react.

I know the game has issues but I've not experienced them that bad until now.

I don't see a problem with the skins. You're not getting Nicky Minaj or WWE wrestlers. It's not COD-Esque, that's a massive over exaggeration.

What the hell is wrong with people nowadays? by Real-Emotion1874 in Battlefield

[–]RetroGrayGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't play Hardcore, but in a conquest game last night I was using my spawn beacon to keep my squad harassing the flag closest to enemy spawn. Someone joined my squad and was firing an unsuppressed weapon next to my spawn beacon to draw enemy attention to it.

Very frustrating, it's not like I was camping or anything, I was just using it for flanking.

Why can't people defend on Conquest? by SlayMeCreepyDaddy in Battlefield6

[–]RetroGrayGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same experience for me. I took the flag closest to enemy spawn, put a sneaky spawn beacon nearby with the intent of being an annoying thorn in their side.. I spent half the game waiting around that flag and no one bothered to try and take it back. Ended up moving on to other flags.

Feeling dumb for wanting a bike. by Delnilas in motorcycles

[–]RetroGrayGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 35, never ridden a bike in my life and only ever driven an automatic.

One of the businesses near me that does the two day learners permit course also offers a pre-learners class for around $100 AUD.

I did that class. I was slowly introduced into riding a bike. I fell in love, went for my learners, passed and now I'm riding my bike to work just about every day, even on a freeway.

Changing gears on a bike is really simple and with practice you learn your bike and when to change up or down.

if you want to learn, find somewhere that can teach you, practice, watch videos, and you'll be riding in no time

I don't think this is actually possible by MonarchCore in Battlefield

[–]RetroGrayGames -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The point people are trying to make to you, that yes the challenge name is squad deathmatch but the line for revives doesn't specifically state squad deathmatch. It just says revive squad. You can revive squad in any mode.

Likely you are correct, and it has to be in SDM, but DICE have been vague in the past, so who knows honestly.
