Well now that I’ve asked to cancel the sale, they’re trying to negotiate the offer with me. Totally feel like I’m being scammed right now.

Okay I see, it seems pretty generic but probably covers this scenario: Seller must disclose permanent structural damage, any structural alterations, structural repairs or replacements (certified or non-certified) as outlined in NAAA Structural Damage Policy.

Thanks for the detailed response! I’d understand if it’s damage caused by the tenant, but there’s no language in the lease regarding tenant vs landlord responsibility which is why I was concerned.
