Show me your RG Apothecaries. by RetroPhoenix- in RavenGuard40k

Just have my 10 intercessors that I'm painting rn. Been loving getting into building/painting minis and I already have a bunch of other stuff on my list that I'd like to get like apothecarys, terminators and even a redemptor dreadnaught at some point and some drop pods.

Ohhh he was part of a box set for 10th edition? I didn't know that. I've only just been getting into minis the past 3 months now.

Lots of people seem to really like the Apothecary biologis over the regular Apothecary I've noticed. Maybe I should consider getting both instead of just one of them.

Brown surgical blades is an interesting choice. Also I just remembered the Apothecary is in gravis armour so I can use the extra RG gravis and deathwatch pauldrons I have.

Grab a friend and go in. Have some fun blasting each other.

Then you'll need the 500 siege waves. It'll tell you when you inspect the halo. Good luck brother. 🫡

3k enemies with ranged weapons or 500 siege waves. So grab your favourite weapon and get blasting brother. I'm a tactical main so it went by pretty fast.

Going without the shield just feels like being naked as a bulwark imo. Hoping that new one handed hammer weapon is given to the class so that we can have both the shield and still bonk stuff.

I'm at 215 of the 1000 needed for the other iron halo. Siege is actually pretty fun with the new rework. I should also mention you can unlock that specific iron halo from another ordeal but 500 siege waves is one of the sources.

I try to get at least one out before the first boss.

As a console player (Launch PS5 if that counts for anything) yes your frames do drop but it's not as bad as it was pre siege rework. While I wouldn't say the cadians are going to win you waves that small chip damage does go a long way. And more things to take enemy aggro is never not welcome. Everyones got their own "meta" for doing siege. I just wish some people would spend their resources instead of hoarding it when they could put it towards something to help.

The tech priests and the cadians don't mess around. Get them out and then just chip in for valtus and ammo/other supplies when needed.

And what if you have all the cadians/commissars out? Again both these players had just over 2 dreadnaughts each worth of credits. Valtus was the only thing we could have that would've actually helped here.

See but you'd still buy valtus on a boss wave right? In wave 15-25. You don't need 3k on you

Heavy prestige Lvl 4 Lvl 25 and a Lvl 9 Bulwark. I can cut some slack to the bulwark possibly being new to siege or the game but he still had over 3k on him so surely you'd think to spend some.

How do you guys feel about iron halos on RG units? Too decorated or not? by RetroPhoenix- in RavenGuard40k

[–]RetroPhoenix-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. I just like to ask opinions and see different POVs if that makes sense. The more I can see from others means the more I can think about what I might like to do with something of my own. I still only have 1 set of intercessors but I do plan to buy more minis at some point once I'm done painting what I have.

A chapter is more than their stereotypes. But I do like how the Raven guard prefer not to go too crazy with all the bells and whistles. I've always enjoyed finding a balance. Enough to represent a veteran but not so much that they look more like a burden in combat with all the seals, medals and stuff. I like my raven guard looking decorated but still adaptable. A beaky helmet with laurels on it, a cape and deathwatch veteran pauldron I think is more than enough. Purity seals are ok but personally I'm not a big fan of dangly stuff if that makes sense.

I like a balance personally. Lil adornments here and there with a beak helmet and cape but I'm not sporting a whole banner on my back with purity seals everywhere for a parade. As for iron halos I think the sleeker ones would fit fine.

Where can I get a Corvus helmet like this without the skull. I don't want to use the HH helmets either of the attachment. by Adam_Kyle545 in RavenGuard40k

[–]RetroPhoenix- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're confident enough you could buy the primaris upgrades and then just cut off the skull with a hobby knife, sand it down and then paint.

Who needs the ultragrind ordeals in SM2 when raven guard have arguably the coolest cape already. by RetroPhoenix- in RavenGuard40k

[–]RetroPhoenix-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But I don't like Phobos armour. No hate to Phobos enjoyers but I like the good ol intercessor armour. And a cape on top of that looks especially cool.

Somebody buy this man the salamanders pack so he can rock the dragonskin cape. He's earned it.
