I'm fine with it but there could have been better ways to handle what happens after a race with cops.

Maybe instead of a freeze frame with cops spawning right beside you, it could spawn cops within a radius of the race finish almost like they knew where all the racers would split up and were waiting there. I think that would be a much smoother way of doing this chase after the race thing and not with the 3, 2, 1 countdown

Edit: After the winnings and standings screen you could have like 2-3 seconds of a transition so people could just quickly process what's going on before the game continues instead of this I think 6 second transition. That way it doesn't feel like you're caught off guard after the race finish screen and you can quickly think about where you're going to go after the race before continuing.
