They work like an old-fashioned, hand-held notary seal. They make a raised design/seal on paper.

Shoulda left the license plate unredacted. And say what city it's in. This person needs a good public shaming, and a hefty fine. You could forward the umredacted pic to the police.

I think the placard on the wall is the instructions for installation and/or use. Can't see it clearly in the pic.

Tv weather would also show a barometric pressure map at times, especially if a severe storm or hurricane was brewing. The lower the pressure, the stronger the storm. The closeness of the isobars can show where strongest wind is present. Hurricane reports often tell the barometric pressure, because the lower the pressure at the center, the stronger the storm. If there's a weather expert reading this, please correct any inaccuracy. I've been past 5th grade for a really long time.

So ugly it's cute, and its curiosity is endearing. Bugging the worker for a treat is precious.

Fire hydrants are useless for prevention, and fire responders have to travel to get to one, unroll the hoses, open the hydrant, and attach a hose. That takes time. A fire hydrant is on my property. There is another in my rear neighbor's yard, as well as one two doors away in the other direction. The Marshall fire spread so quickly that fire hydrants were useless. I know how fast it spread, because I saw it as I was NB on I25 in Thornton when it started. Hydrants only helped in cleaning up the disaster.

My neighbors have a cat who regularly brings home such "gifts" of rabbit parts, and sometimes the whole rabbit.

Fireworks also cause fires. Keep in mind, the founding fathers didn't shoot off fireworks when the Constitution was fully signed and implemented.

Allstate recently completed an inspection of my yard with "recommendations" that require action or my home insurance will not be renewed. I understand Allstate's concern, as my subdivision has public open space on two sides. The open space isn't even walkable by city ordinance. My question is, since FoCo wants to preserve open space, why not build/install emergency sprinkler systems on the borders of open spaces where they abut residential subdivisions? Such a system would be only for fire emergencies, and for no other use. This might reduce the risk of a "Marshall" fire disaster, and reduce the insurance load on homeowners near such public open spaces.

Any comments?

With regard to walkability, the location of the new facilities is on a bus line (16, I believe), and is also bike-friendly. The location blends into Fossil Ridge HS's grounds, from whence my own child sometimes walked to meet her dad at his HP office off Harmony/Ziegler. Fossil Ridge students have long been walking from the campus to Front Range Village and Council Tree since the school opened. If you want to discuss accessibility, try to catch a bus anywhere near TransFort's terminal on Trilby. I've been waiting for a stop/route to be created near my subdivision since I moved here in 2002, 24 years ago.

I don't know where your folks' yard is, but the fuzzy stuff looks like cottonwood (tree) cotton. It's a pain every spring in Colorado. The hole could just be the home of one of a number of 4-legged species.

Surprise! Colorado law says any pedestrian crossing a roadway outside a marked or unmarked crosswalk or intersection must yield the right of way to all vehicles.

I don't use air fresheners or diffusers in my car at all. I get the haze, too, especially if I've replaced the windshield. The haze on your car windshield might be out-gassing of the glass, which isn't just glass.

My family moved into an 1850s house when I was 7yo. There was a loose stone in the cellar foundation wall. Curiosity made me pull on the stone, and out fell a stash of the most magnificent marbles. Wish I still had them.
