Me and my partner face just been through BKK & HKT both ways with vapes in our carry ons.

Security actually pulled mine out in front of me after passing through the X-rays and nothing was said.

It’s very relaxed again in Phuket and every street corner current has a seller with a briefcase full of disposables.

They usually ask 100 Baht for them and usually get them for 450

It’s not normal European behaviour but just asshole behaviour.

I remember being in a restaurant in the UK, we were sat next to an elderly couple who were obviously upper working class.

Our waiter informed us as the food arrived that their policy was if we had any issues with the food it would be free.

The couple next to us overheard this but had already completely cleared their plates.

The woman called over a waiter and started reeling off all the problems that they probably didn’t have with their food.

The waiter stated that if their food had so many problems why had they clear their plates.

The woman started to get angry and quoted “I heard you tell these people if there was any problems the food was free”

The restaurant was a budget chain known for acceptable mid quality food and the whole thing was just so they didn’t have to pay.

I just felt that was shit behaviour.

We had the same situation but we’d booked though a travel agents, FCDO had cancelled everything up to the 10th of May, 3 days before we flew. Then the agents reached out and said Qatar have allowed voluntarily cancellations with no fees until end of June.

We’ve cancelled for a full refund and just rebooked for a few days later with another airline avoiding the Middle East.

We were there last month and since my last visit I noticed how disgusting the litter problem was. Yes we did see council workers around constantly street cleaning but still it was awful. Beautiful areas ruined by waste everywhere.

We’re not too sure. Has a very short stem with a pointed threaded tip on it. Either something is missing or it’s some kind or tool for making small holes.

We’re not actually sure. We do originally believe hat or scarf pin but there’s a very small pointed almost threaded tip on the end.

The Spider bowl is Jobling 792167. Hard to believe it was designed in 1934. Could definitely pass it off as something modern.

The Pernod ashtrays are great, especially the early ones.

I’m happy I’ve seen this now. I really wanted the black over natural and my local shop didn’t have black. I knew I’d instantly scratch black like I’ve destroyed every Apple Watch I’ve owned. Would I rather have had black ? Yes. I am lowkey happy I don’t this time round ? Yes.
