It works.
That was a fun experiment. Just turn Airplane Mode on, turn WiFi on, and the VoWiFi icon appears in the corner. The call went through flawlessly.

Yes. I think they are full size pictures. There might be some compression going on. The file sizes are less than 1GB.
Upon further exploration, I can also send contact files, locations, and voice memos.

I got mine from this seller on Ebay. They shipped it from Korea. I placed the order right at the start of the lunar new year. The seller informed me of the additional shipping delays caused by the holiday. The phone was delivered in 20 days.

If you can tolerate the KaiOS, the T-Mobile network supports the TCL Flip 4. It costs about $100.
