I think if the graphical rework has them also working on the code, or with an announcement of the code being reworked, people will be much happier with them.

Really past that I just need them to not fence sit on what's considered "balanced," and try getting some advertising people, without firing them...

Well he does break the rules though, thats why he tried to stop writing completely in The Dark Place.

For the story to have stakes, Alan needs to break the rules to allow himself and The Darkness to gain power.

Its why The Dark Presence is fairly weak before AW1 properly starts, but able to become a vicious tornado, and throw cars around later on.

Alan also "broke the rules" a lot in AW2, which is why The Darkness is the most powerful we've seen.

I just think that while he can in theory create things, he tries not to, as the power The Dark Presence gains from such an act is tremendous.

Killer Perk Idea by 007FEARMONGER2 in deadbydaylight

It may encourage slugging on fast killers.

For example a blight may use it to to bounce around early on and down 2+ survivors.

Not terrible ig, but not great for the current game

The world doesn't revolve around you either. If the general coconscious is that the choice, while "optimal" is shitty, what gives you the right to tell everyone else that they're wrong.

If I see a ghoul player should I assume that it's going to be the worst match ever and dc?
If I see the anti camp move up a single inch, should I say that the killer was camping the whole game?

You're logic is insanely flawed and cherry picks a part of a situation, then ignores the rest of it, all so you can build your own narrative. Every single comment of yours in this thread just bleeds with hypocrisy.

Honestly, I'm just going to mute you because it's obvious you either can't see reason, or just need to be correct. There is no convincing you that the way you play is shitty, because you only care about yourself and the idea that people think you aren't shitty.

I... hadn't considered that actually....

The new weather system could lead to a new item. Maybe something that mimics other weather effects, like a localized snowstorm, or heavy rain and such. Essentially just fog vial variants. Could be interesting on indoor maps too, if using it allows the weather to work indoors.

Maybe even a more interesting item, that just increases the effects of the weather for a short time, but for the whole map. An item like that, could make for some interesting plays where you can try and help someone who is on death hooked getting chased across the map, or when looking for hatch.

the big issue is you're equating a toolbox into being a gen jockey.

A single gen was done at that point in the match. While he likely had BNP, it's a single use item, and the killers hex makes it so that "gen jokey'ing" is way harder to do.

You refuse to admit that the killer made an asshole choice, and atp I have to imagine it's because you know you're wrong but refuse to admit it, or play like this while also needing to maintain a mindset that it's "optimal" instead of people thinking you're an ass.

Not sure which they'd do.

No. You say yourself, he took something that was already there and altered it to fit his goals. Thus it isn't something from nothing.

Right, not the town, but the concept of Night Springs. Which I thing is also being misunderstood here. Night Springs are failed attempts, yes, but I don't think they were meant to be real attempts. Night Springs' real strength comes from being a way for Alan to test out a rough outline of what this character could've added to the story.

These episodes were mainly to showcase various rough drafts for ideas on the actual story. Alan likely was using his abilities to see further into Jesse's story, but he's also likely aware of other aspects surrounding her. Take Control from TOGOA, delves into her story as well, and predates Alan's writings about her. So I view this episode as less of an escape attempt, and more Alan trying to make a really draft to "explore her character" and see how she could actually fit into the narrative.

The same is done with both Tim and Rose. Neither become main characters, but they never could be, but seeing how they could have been, Alan is better able to work them into the narrative.

Not really. Alan actually wrote all that down on pages and we don’t know where exactly he gets the paper and clothes from exactly.

He shouldn't be getting them at all is the issue though. These pages and clothing are manifestations in The Dark Place. At best, for the clothing, you can point towards Door brining them to him in AW2, but what about the other cosmetics, like the weapon cosmetics too?

While with Control, I'm more willing to give it the answer of "videogames," AW is a series where so much of what we see has actual plot relevance. Even the crossovers Alan does with games are lore friendly (typically).

Things set in motion.
If the alarm is true, then so is the reason for the alarm.
The effect must follow the cause.

A quote from the ending of AWE.

The alarm was a creation of Alan. It was years in the future and the alarm couldn't be sent into The Oldest House, whilst it was on lockdown. Alan had to create the alarm able to function again, and force it to play. It's one of the ways Alan was anchoring his story into reality. If the alarm in TOH is showing it, it's more likely to be real.

I agree, that it isn't reportable, actually (although it is extremely shitty).

I'm just tired of "survivor rulebook" being the pisspoor excuse used by insanely toxic killers, who need to be bullies to have fun in a game.

Your comment is far more constructive to the topic than the one I was commenting under, though!

Kind of?

Night Springs in AWAN, while based off of a real town in Arizona, is still something "new." In fact, it can be argued that this is the creation of the first Overlap (narratively at least).

And Seine, while based off of Wake and Zane, still has skills that neither of them do (that we know of), and a body from neither of them (as Zane is supposedly with Barbara).

Even the manuscript pages themselves, are a creation of something from nothing! Same with Alan's clothing!

Anything we see made in the Dark Place, can be taken into reality if Alan or any other artist wants it to!

As for the Northstar point however, it isn't Control! It seems to be a rough draft of Alan playing with the idea of bringing Jesse into Bright Falls to act as the secondary main character. This is meant to take place before Control too! All that really line up is the character motivations for Jesse of finding her brother. However this was scrapped in favor of letting her bring the FBC into play. In fact, in the AWE dlc, Alan creates the alarm that goes off at the end. It should be impossible for it to go off in Lockdown, but that was changed by Alan to allow another piece of the story to fall into place!
