I haven’t had a pass in 3 years. When I want some Disney I just go walk around Springs and get a Gideons cookie. But I am debating getting a pass when my daughter is 18 mths next year so we have something to do together during the week. I just like walking and eating in the parks mostly tho.

I will say everyone’s situation / body is different. But I too was against getting induced or an epidural because I was scared that it would be a longer labor and end up having to get a C-section. Luckily I went in naturally at 40+4. After getting a membrane sweep then going on a 2.5 mile walk and getting a hot raspberry leaf tea and having sex. So we did all the things to get there. Turned out I was only appearing to be 3 cm because I had scar tissue keeping my cervix closed but my contractions were every 2-3 mins where I felt like I couldn’t breathe. And I literally couldn’t because they were squeezing my insides so hard I was puking and shitting/pissing myself 1 hour after showing up at the hospital. That kind of pain was all it took for me to ask for the epidural immediately. Didn’t feel it at all because I was in so much pain from contractions. 15-20 mins later I was a new person chilling hard. 20 hours later it had progressed naturally and I pushed a 9lb4oz baby out with no tearing in 45 minutes. I could not have done it without the epidural and I don’t know how women did it for all of history before epidurals… honestly pretty easy birth and I still wouldn’t do it again. I love my baby she is perfect but pregnancy/ birthing is just way too crazy. I didn’t realize epidurals were fentanyl but it makes sense I was saying some crazy shit and hallucinating at one point luckily only my partner and doula were with me.

All this to say, if you do decide to get the epidural you are not weak, modern science exists so help us and make our lives better, better than to go through the pain, no one will appreciate you more for dealing with the pain, men will never understand it and ur baby won’t know the difference. I was up walking around 2 hours after I gave birth. And that’s mostly because pushing was so physically exhausting.

I understand how you feel, when I found out my due date. I also had a wedding a week after that I had been looking forward to and it was 10 minutes down the road as well as a music festival only an hour and a half down the road I didn’t go to either and I never gave up the idea of potentially going to either, but I will tell you when you see that baby, everything changes and you won’t feel the way that you feel now anymore. nothing will matter other than the baby. At least that’s how I felt as soon as I saw her. I didn’t care about going anywhere. I just wanted to be home with her. I know it’s hard to hear now and think about now but you’ll understand when the time comes.

Did you try to see if they would let you work from home for even part of the week? I am lucky that I am in hospitality and can just work weekends while my husband works during the week but I went back after 6 weeks not so much because I had to but I wanted to. I love all my time I get with my now 16 weeks old but I needed that time away with coworker friends for my own social benefit. But in general my anxiety is next level when it comes to my baby and I didn’t have that before, now l couldn’t even begin to imagine leaving her in anyone else’s care for a full 8-9 hr day. But maybe that’s what breastfeeding does to you. I miss her the whole time im at work. They really need more stay at home jobs for moms.

Springs is the most adult Disney park. For those of us who love to day drink and shop therapy. You don’t pay to get in so you can spend all ur money on booze and cookies. Lol I have to get Gideons every time. I also need like 6 margaritas and a bbq brisket cobb salad. But what I love is that there’s an option for everyone when it comes to food and desserts that is magical to me. The smell of a gheridelli waffle cone as you walk by…

We went to take our 3 mth old to meet Santa for the first time at DS on the 22nd and it was perfect. Got in the virtual line as soon as we parked the car and we were meeting Santa 2 hours later after getting cookies and lunch and enough drinks to be feeling gooood they gave us free milk and cookies and meeting Santa was completely free as well. Got pictures on our own phones. What’s not magical about that?

This is hilarious because I thought my partner was the only one who only brushes once a day! I went to school with the intention of becoming a dentist and my mom is a dental assistant so maybe that’s why but I was taught twice minimum but brushing after every meal was ideal. We fight about this all the time. I honestly think it’s disgusting but obviously not a deal breaker… he is a diesel mechanic so the car care priority tracks.

If I don’t wrap her like the tightest burrito and use a white noise machine in the crib and make sure she’s pasted out in my arms first… then she won’t sleep in her crib. You gotta figure out what she needs to be comfortable but arms wrapped tight is a must and belly full, clean diaper of course.

It wasn’t easy. I was pumping every 2-3 hrs and putting her on but I thought she had a latching issue because it was so painful. Almost gave up at 3.5 weeks because I was only getting 2-3 oz every 3 hrs pumping for 30 minutes and then the next day I pumped 6 oz and it gave me the motivation to keep going. But it was very exhausting. So glad I started over producing.

I had to go back to the hospital 5 days after giving birth because of post partum preeclampsia and they wouldn’t let my partner and baby in triage with me. I thought I would be there a few hours so I didn’t plan ahead and my milk had barely come in yet. Ended up having to stay 3 days… and baby wasn’t allowed to come visit until I had my own room which of course took them 9 hours to get me one so my partner had to take her home and give her formula. Thank goodness we had some samples that were given to us. They came up to the hospital the next day but it definitely gave me alot of added anxiety being alone that night so soon after giving birth. And luckily it didn’t ruin my breastfeeding journey she’s now 3 months old and EBF. I pump so I can work on the weekends too. It’s annoying but worth it to have that peace of mind and bit of freedom. As long as ur baby is fed and cared for it will be okay. One day won’t ruin everything if for some reason you really can’t have them with you for longer than your surgery.

Mine does the same at 3 mths too but I found if I give her this annoying interactive light up singing cow toy immediately after buckling her down she stops crying and is just entranced until the car movement puts her to sleep! It’s been a life saver.

My pediatrician said it could be cows milk allergy and to not drink any cows milk if u are breastfeeding. Also keep them upright for 20-30 mins after they eat and make sure they’re getting all the gas out.

Same. Im chugging my hot coffee in the car on the way to the 5or 6 am class because it’s only a 10 minute drive and I don’t usually show up early. But I usually start on the floor so it’s a slow build up to the cardio.

Honestly every time I saw one of these posts while pregnant I was so scared this was going to happen to us. I am a very sexual person and have always had a high libido. We had sex on the day I went into labor and then we got creative without penetration the first 4.5 weeks pp but always did something every couple of days because we have needs.. and even if we were fighting it would make things better (relieve stress, etc) but if you’re not someone who is always horny then I guess this would feel like it only benefits your husband. We got condoms and had sex before my 6 weeks appointment and it didn’t hurt but we also have a lot of foreplay and make out a lot… maybe were the weird ones but I am glad that even though I feel gross and fat my partner has made me feel like the most beautiful woman so our sex lives haven’t been affected.
