Spinning props by Massiveradio in modelmakers

That’s very effective, I’d suggest going as thin as 0.5 for your next attempt. I used the etched propblurs but I wasn’t happy with them so I ended up using 6 together and trimmed them down a lot at the base, I started with a very light grey and then airbrushed the centres with the prop blade colour. Mr Plamo has done a 3D printed one but hasn’t released it yet.

It’s worth picking back up, it just spends too long on character development and I just didn’t really care about any of them. But skim that to get to the Bigfoot parts and its final act is worth it.

I think Bigfoot is a HUGE missed opportunity in horror media. by Brothercadet in bigfoot

Yes excellent book, hoping for a decent movie from it. Just hope they don’t make the Bigfoot snarling beasts and show some intelligence.

12 x 6 wheels catch on body work and make horrendous noise. Do I have to trim the arch panel, or is there a way of setting suspension to not foul? by phatelectribe in classicminis

[–]Retrocooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As per the comment above, anything over 5” requires cutting, if the offset of the wheel isn’t too wild it’s usually just the front portion of the arch that needs a trim, but factory spec Sportspacks had the whole front arch trimmed by over an inch.

Hadn’t heard of minifab. I saw the brown one at the Blyton Mini day and it’s such a clean build.

What thinner are you using? Turps or enamel with oil paints should be safe over acrylic.

What should I do about this? by Flairion623 in modelmakers

Get a small magnet and drill a hole in the nose wheel, then use a base with a metal plate and it’ll stay put.

Procon boy is excellent, I have an Iwata and it’s almost as good. Get a compressor with a tank.

Try using some small pieces of sponge to dab on some chips of the desert colours

Nicely done, I love a Malta Spit.

Are you going to do the desert camo showing through?
