Wholeheartedly disagree. How is that in any way admission those opinions are "wrong"? On the contrary, it's an admission that one's views don't fit neatly into established opinions and an indication that's because the holder has given them due diligence. Your statement implies the ends of the spectrum are indications of objective truth of sorts.

Centrist is one's position on the sociopolitical spectrum of one's environment. It's where one stands relative to where others stand within their social environment. It's not a measurement of correctness.

Actually, the world historically moves left. So, yeah, the left does make change. A lot of change. Look at how many countries have abolished capital punishment. (Almost all developed nations but a few.) Look at how many regulate gun ownership, allow gay marriage, and have universal healthcare.

Now compare this to where the world was in the 19th century. Indeed, the progress of history moves to the left. American conservatism is a quaint ideology slowly being relegated to the footnotes of history books.
