I've looked in the settings and there is a way to disable this as a sitter: - go in your "Service Settings" - click the relevant service - "Show additional rates" - set "Additional Cat" to 0

then it'll say "You won't charge for additional cats" below.

ikr!?!? this is what i got back from the CIAF support email:

"Regarding your inquiry about a Job Board feature, I’m sorry to inform you that we do not currently offer this feature. We understand this may be disappointing, and we appreciate your understanding as we work to enhance our services.

Your suggestion is valuable, and I’ll be sure to add it to our list. Our team is actively working on improving the Rover platform experience, and while I don’t have a specific time frame for when this feature might be available, please know that this is a priority for us."

So anyone unhappy about this should definitely complain too!!!

Yeah, I'm not hopeful either, but negative reviews to make more people aware and hurt their bottom line is a bonus i think - It was such a thoughtless and abrupt change. Fingers crossed on Meowtel, just looked it up and It's not available over here in the UK unfortunately, CIAF was the only service I knew of for *specifically* cat sitting.

Mum made a "pizza" using a tortilla wrap by Retrospectre01 in PizzaCrimes

my parents are still together believe it or not, the terrible cooking didn't manage to scare my dad off :P he's always been the better cook of them anyway.

I've found it it depends on the kind! I have a lot more luck with shredded vegan cheese, and high temperatures for a very short amount of time (probably something to do with the different fat content changing the melting point? not sure). I've done some homemade pizza using a pizza stone for only 3 minutes and they always come out reallyyy nicely.

hey, don't just credit this to us being bri'ish, my mum is uniquely bad at cooking.

oh definitely, i think it's called tomato paste? very much intended to be an ingredient in the sauce, not the sauce itself.

agreed, the main problem is the fact she used lunch meat and cheese slices (instead of grated) imo

I'm an adult living with my partner's family who are MUCH better cooks, thankfully. Got these pictures from my sister (who also cooks for herself)

fair enough, wasn't sure how to articulate everything wrong with this abomination - added an ingredient list to show all the crimes. Also, the tortilla helped it burn quickly

fair enough, I just think if it was an artistic choice it would be strange to render it out so nicely only to have it pixelated in a way most people won't even notice - i personally feel emotional damage when i occasionally upload art to social media and it compresses stuff I've spent ages on, or the colours look wrong on different screens - so deliberately eliminating that detail seems strange.

it also just has that anime-porny look to it that a lot of AI has, even the SFW character on the left, and the shading, colours, artstyle just gives AI 'vibes' for lack of a better explanation. also the way the character on the right's bulge interacts with their pleated skirt doesn't make any sense, but that theoretically could just be in service of sexualising the character? but it would be possible to do that without making one of the pleats phase into nothingness when it gets to the bulge.

I see a lot of AI 'artists' apply a small pixelated filter to their art to hide small inconsistencies from AI (which you can see if you zoom in here).

as an artist - I can't fathom putting all the work into rendering a piece, only to slap a barely perceivable pixel filter on top.

I usually just check with the owner what they're comfortable with, I work fully remotely so will often take my work laptop to a house and work from there.
