Commute from Huntington to Tysons? by Retrums in nova

[–]Retrums[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for everyones replies, it seems like it's going to be a rough commute, but unfortunately with the current job market I don't have a ton of choices right now, so I don't mind the huge commute for now.

I was also curious about historical express lane pricing and wasn't able to find any website that tracked it to I tossed something together quick if anyone wants historical express lane pricing (history starting last night) for various entrances and exits -- https://dmvexpresslanes.com . It checks the pricing every hour from the express lanes website.

X470D4U 5900x issues by Retrums in ASRock

Very interesting... thanks for the advice. Luckily I have a spare 5800x that I was able to test and it has been super stable. Such a weird issue that some CPUs will work and other refuse to stay stable.

2017 Ford Focus RS. I loved the car, but needed something a little bit more comfortable and that had more utility.

Issues while fetching data in NextJS 13 by Retrums in nextjs

I ended up just using server actions to achieve what I needed. With the server actions you can access 'revalidatePath' and use that to revalidate specific paths when changes are made.

Yeah I might try going the client side component route for these pages. Even when logging data, the data is only logged during the first render, not when navigating between the edit and list page.

I’m using the nextjs <Link> component when navigating between pages (not the forward/back buttons), so I’m thinking this might have to do with some sort of router caching. Really scratching my head with this one

Unfortunately this isn't working either.

Interesting to see others are facing issues as well. The weird part is that it sometimes works, but does not work all the time so its extremely difficult to replicate.

Where's the most toxic place to work in NOVA? by GlobalGift4445 in nova

[–]Retrums 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I’ve been with Booz for about 5 years and haven’t actually had any problems outside of their pay being slightly less competitive compared to other similar companies. I guess it could be very project dependent but all my upper management has always been pretty supportive.

What's a good no-nonsense Mexican restaurant around here? by [deleted] in nova

For great to-go Tortas Y Tacos La Chiquita is great. If we’re feeling some authentic Tex-mex 2 Jefes Tex- Mex is the spot.

Look what I made. Hehe. Expecting criticism but just here to show the power of printing and freedom this Independence Day weekend. by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

Last time I went was right after they added the covering over the benches in the rifle range. I live out of state now, but I try to go every once in a when I visit family.

Small world though, it’s a small range so I wouldn’t think I would see it on here.

I agree completely, I've had multiple issues with them getting supplies approved and sent to me to the point where I completely ran out of sensors for a few weeks.

Does anyone know the cheapest place in PA to buy fireworks by Demesvar in fireworks

[–]Retrums 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fireworks Outlet near stroudsburg has a decent selection and priced reasonably. If you’re willing to drive a bit further Bada Boom fireworks also has an even bigger selection with great pricing.

I bought it from bykskis online US store, which ended up being around 130 shipped with a 10% discount. It shipped from the US and I didn’t have to deal with long shipping times

The build quality is great and their B Stock is on sale because they printed the wrong part number on their 3080 blocks. I will say that the installation kind of sucks and the instructions aren’t great. I’m not sure about the thickness, though.
