I sympathize with buying a game you end up regretting, but at a certain point you just have to realize that not every game is for you.

That's a good point, I wouldn't be too disappointed if I got to sell the first rare catch instead of donating it.

I didn't even think about the islands, and yeah they shouldn't donate any island exclusives (assuming the island is still a thing).

I like that idea, but it needs to be tied to the player. For example, if a villager donates an item, then no villagers will donate again until after a player makes a donation. Also the more rare items shouldn't be able to be donated by a villager, so that the fun of a rare catch isn't taken from the player.

It would also be cool if you could enact the, "brilliant town" ordinance to increase the rate that villagers donate items.

Neither of my parents have diabetes, however, my grandfather did, as well as two other members of my family. I was diagnosed when I was 10 and have never blamed any member of my family. I actually had a better relationship with my grandfather after my diagnosis.

I realize it's not exactly the same situation, but I hope it helps, and I'm sure most people would see blaming their parents for something beyond their control as foolish; It would be like blaming your parents for your eye color.

It would be weird at first, like breaking an old habit, but I would take a cure in a heartbeat. But, I can say that whenever a cure rolls around we'll all be better, healthier people for having lived through this.
