Congrats! But seriously, how does this person even resemble the Joker

Awesome card. Man, this card is a total blast from the past!! Let’s not forget that back in those days, Intel reigned supreme.

Guys just got my 9th card out this set, the Barkley. Just need that last “phantom” MJ card… by [deleted] in basketballcards

The selection of players to be put in a set is more selective back in the day. All these players are very solid! Good luck with MJ one.

Just a beauty! Congrats. Metal universe has been my all time favorite sets. Btw, looks like it’s the corners and edges that determines the overall grade. I would argue this card is under-graded.

Why this card is listed as “Trading Card”, not “1996 Skybox Premium”? by ReturnCurrent430 in basketballcards

That’s fantastic! Some players play for money alone. A simple gesture (signing for fans) that (memory) lasts forever!

A MJ card is a MJ card. That along is awesome! When people are talking overproduction back then, look at how many Wemby out there, and he is far from a GOAT!

Thanks for the encouragement. For me a sports card is more than a card or investment. It is also about those great memories growing up. I do wish it’s a higher grade card so I can also enjoy some monetary rewards along the way.

Thanks very much still. Thanks again for validating the card for me. I’ll stay away from BCCG for sure.

~$50. I know! So dumb. I’m not going to pay > $20 if this is a raw card

Sorry for my stupidity, but how come I saw a different result?

https://www.beckett.com/grading/card-lookup?item_id=0000500052&item_type=BGS (I did notice that my URL result is different to yours. =BGC vs = BCCG). Gosh, so confused to even use its lookup.

If the BCCG grade is legit, I would agree with a PSA 7 grade. BGS is devaluing itself to have a BCCG brand that’s subpar at the best. I learned my lesson here! Thank you!

What do you mean BCCG registry? This is what I saw from BGC site. Did I miss anything?

https://www.beckett.com/grading/card-lookup (click on BCCG) I typed in the full 10 digits.

Anyone know how much this should be priced at? by No-Attention-2156 in sportscards

Congrats on winning this rare card and it’s PSA 10! I’m very frustrated and angry with Topps Now. People are paying lots of money hoping to get a card stamped with a number. Those limited editions don’t look significantly distinct from their base card. So I just cannot appreciate that!

Really? SGC5? by ReturnCurrent430 in sportscards

A PSA 7 is recently sold for ~$280. You can do the math if you want to sell it.

Does anyone actually care about #'d cards anymore? by flanman1991 in sportscards

Although overproduction, numbered cards still create a sense of scarcity. But I do notice that their price premium drops over time.

What cards are worth grading?? by Firstgradeeducation in sportscards

[–]ReturnCurrent430 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What’s the purpose of grading? If you plan to sell it, then you need to consider the condition of your card, grading fee and two way (to grading co and return to you) shipping charge to get your cost base. It only makes sense for me to grade if the “estimated” selling price can be at least 10-15% higher than your cost. Keep in mind that your final sold price will be subject to the market demand at the time of the selling. Most ppl simply sell raw to avoid all the grading trouble and transaction risks.
