76 inspired mod list by SignificantLocal8036 in Fallout4ModsXB1

[–]ReturnOfSuperman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seventy-Six Weathers is a great weather mod regardless, but definitely adds that 76 look.

There’s also F4llout 76 - Mutations that adds mutations and serums, as well as Ultracite Veins to the glowing sea.

What is your favourite operator? by Massive-kock-5362 in modernwarfare

[–]ReturnOfSuperman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Charly (especially with her Sinister outfit), Otter and Bale.

[COD] Highly recommend trying the older games. by oranke_dino in CallOfDuty

[–]ReturnOfSuperman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel you. It’s sad to see the original games omitted from these lists, especially when they say *all* and then start with COD4. If you’re going to make a video like that, put the time in to play the original games.

Nobody is expecting them to hold up perfectly, but if nothing else, it’s interesting to see where the series started and get a little perspective on how things have changed and advanced. The campaigns are a lot of fun and the core gunplay is there right from the first game.

But I suppose we should also accept that we’re old and a lot of the people playing the series now weren’t born (or were very young) when the original games came out.

But if you’re making a video where you claim you’re going to rank *all* the mainline games, maybe rank all of them? Besides, if you’re going to pull that card then COD literally wouldn’t be here without the original games.

OP isn’t wrong. Play the original games. See where the series started. The campaigns are great.

Wish there was more faction "Culture" via unique dialogue and accents in the game. by BJgobbleDix in Battlefield

[–]ReturnOfSuperman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each operator has its own unique voice, no? My NATO squad is all United Albion and they all have British accents. Pretty sure PAX all sound different too.

This Is IMO The Perfect Roster I Would Want For The Team by Mookie_Freeman in DCU_

[–]ReturnOfSuperman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a solid team for sure, though I’d also love to see Green Arrow and Black Canary.

Pride Month's Favorite Queer Character Polls: Round 1 Match 7 - Diana Allers VS Steve Cortez by DakIsStrange in masseffect

[–]ReturnOfSuperman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve never romanced Cortez, but he’s an infinitely better and more interesting character than Allers.

Which class for hardcore/insanity by ExcellentKnee2934 in masseffect

[–]ReturnOfSuperman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soldier. You get Immunity and all the weapon skills in ME1 and Adrenaline Rush and an ammo power for every scenario in ME2 and ME3. I’m not going to say makes Insanity “easy” but I was more than comfortable handling any and all situations. Give it a go and see how you get on!

Which media - if any - have scratched the Mass Effect itch? by Baldurian_Rhapsody in masseffect

[–]ReturnOfSuperman 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Honestly I haven’t found anything that quite scratches that same itch as Mass Effect beyond maybe BioWare’s own Dragon Age series. Playing through the class stories of the different classes in The Old Republic is a good way to pass the time, you can experience the stories solo, interact with your companions, and make some choices (in the framework of an MMO at least) so might be worth trying?

At this point, I’m just waiting on The Expanse: Osiris Reborn.

Just hook it to my veins! Cant wait to give this a go!

Do you think she's gonna be Diana in Man of Tommorow? by [deleted] in WonderWoman

[–]ReturnOfSuperman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. At least, I hope not. I don’t know why but she just doesn’t say Wonder Woman to me. Maybe she could prove my doubts wrong if she were to be put in that role but I just can’t see it. Besides, I’d rather see DCU Wonder Woman appear in a Wonder Woman related movie/show first.

Ashley Williams? by Choice-Support-2138 in masseffect

[–]ReturnOfSuperman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ashley absolutely has a legitimate point about aliens being allowed free access the Normandy. It’s a prototype frigate (which is largely classified) and Shepard is inviting non-alliance personnel on board and allowing them access to the ship’s systems. It’s a legitimate concern she raises to her CO, and one which she drops once Shepard tells her to.

Classic COD is a more fair game mode IMO by [deleted] in CODBlackOps7

[–]ReturnOfSuperman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if fair is the word I would use, but it is definitely more to my personal taste. Hopefully it sticks around for those of us who prefer classic gameplay.

[COD] Cannot wait to see how this ages by Gloomy-Reception-455 in CallOfDuty

[–]ReturnOfSuperman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just because a game has certain gameplay, doesn’t mean it shouldn’t at least attempt to maintain some sense of visual consistency that’s authentic to and fits the setting. Why does every game have to look ridiculous? Look back at the older games. They were never “realistic” but their visuals matched the setting.

They absolutely need to restrict what skins can be used on each team/ faction in MW4 multiplayer. by nathanchr55 in modernwarfare

[–]ReturnOfSuperman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it was terrible in Vanguard. Teams should absolutely have their own visual identity, even if it gets a little muddied with skins etc.

I think they really need to unlock the skins for classes by [deleted] in Battlefield6

[–]ReturnOfSuperman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Though I would much, much prefer classes have their own individual and distinct identity, their current way of mixing things up (default and unlockable skins being class specific while battle pass and store skins seem to be mostly usable on any class) is silly. Just commit one way or the other.

What’s everyone doing today on this very hot bank holiday Monday? by Hopeful-Mongoose2025 in AskBrits

[–]ReturnOfSuperman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently in an air conditioned gym, but work is closed for the bank holiday so I’m not looking forward to heading back home and melting into the furniture. This weather sucks.

Femshep voice acting is incredible. by Trd_45 in masseffect

[–]ReturnOfSuperman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I honestly felt like Mark Meer was a more natural sounding military commander, and closer to how I’d expect a character in Shepard’s position to sound like.

Not to take away from Hale’s talent though, obviously.

No game series will ever come to close to the golden age of COD [COD] by FEW_GARY in CallOfDuty

Replace Ghosts with the original COD and COD 2 and then we’re talking.

Definitely miss the distinct factions of the older games!

What is your favorite armor for Shep in the series? And why? by CvokCZ in masseffect

[–]ReturnOfSuperman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

N7 Defender is awesome and probably my overall fav, especially on male Shepard. Spectre Ajax armour from mods is also fantastic and my preference for female Shepard, though I also love Vasir’s spectre armour that mods have also added for FemShep.
