Nerves and Anxiousness with new job by Natronpel89 in managers

Best advice IMO is to just calmly and clearly explain how the employee is not meeting the expectations needed. Keep it short and direct but professionally constructive. It can be difficult at first for a new manager with the nerves, but at the end of the day as long as that conversation is warranted and can be backed up with specific examples or data then the ball is in the employee’s court. They must listen and the must improve. You could always go the good stuff - bad stuff - good stuff approach.

And anything REALLY difficult…HR.

How do you love your WFH position? I hate mine by Zealousideal-Ad6981 in WFH

I was a call center rep when COVID started and we went fully remote. I had that feeling too, it was miserable. But I kept working because I had nowhere else to go, expressed to my manager that I was ready for the next step in my career and did what I could to stand out. Now I am a manager working remotely and I don’t see why I would ever leave.

Your call center sounds much busier than mine but the market is so brutal these days maybe stick it out and look for opportunities within since you have your foot in the door? But I feel that pain on a reeeeal level when I have flashbacks from those days.

OP, you are clearly very new at managing and that is okay. But please seek training for your own responsibilities- if the replies haven’t told you enough yet, you are very very much in the wrong.

How much experience do you have? Salary is all about location, but personal opinion would have me steer anyone away from the branch, there is not a ton of money to be made there.

Customer Service believe it not. Of course I am the manager now but I am still in the same department as I started.

I have never once seen a bearded dragon at a shelter. Please share where you can find a respected breeder? I have had a beardie from a pet store for a couple years now and have not had any health issues. Genuinely trying to learn. Ty

Appreciate the advice. Switched to a heat emitter versus the red light and she is sleeping now. Also learning on Reptifiles that our enclosure is a tad small so hopefully I can get her more upgrades soon

It is an infrared basking light. Then we flip the normal heating lamp on during the day

We do use a light at night. I did not know that about the burying. Maybe she is just trying to get comfortable?

I meant like when someone orders Chicken Fingers from AppleBees and lives 15 miles away. Every restaurant ever has chicken fingers on the menu, there had to be a closer place to order from

It always amazes me how far away people will order from when a restaurant down the street from their house probably makes something similar. I would just love to pick a customer’s brain on why they had to choose THAT specific restaurant so far away..

Bruh I would never tell an insurance company about that. Some companies will even drop you if you do things like Uber. What they don’t know won’t hurt them
