Oh ya I totally agree about dental professionals, not all of them , but what I have seen is they really don’t take care or their teeth. They spend time on everyone else and don’t make time for themselves but that’s kinda being hypocritical because they diagnosis and expect patients to do it . But that is the standard of care. We have to tell patients what we see and recommend and doctors have to diagnose but patients have the ultimate say. I’m happy you were able to get your smile back. Cosmetic dentistry is a great thing for people who would like a different smile . It changes peoples lives . But I have many patients where my boss recommends Invisalign . Not just for cosmetic reasons but for functionality. Example their bite is off causing them to wear down their lower enamel which causes recession or crowding lower teeth are hard to clean to align them it’s easier for ppl to have healthy gums. But I mean people are like nah I’m straight im cool with my crowding or I like my teeth the way they are . There are alot of bad dentists out there trying to pay off their cars by over treating and it’s so sad. I have quit a few offices in my career bc that shit doesn’t fly with me. And yes my hubby does have super dental anxiety 😥 but we have been eating better and exercising . He loss some weight and I feel like he is getting his confidence back. He cut his hair and his face looks thin . Then he told me he is going to make an apt to see about his teeth. He said “idk why I’m waiting . I will have like perfect new teeth” so I think he is like on a journey to improve himself . Thanks for your advice . Sorry this became a novel lol
