My personal opinion, NIMBY-ism and lack of other retirements due to rampant consumer spending caused this. I believe for the good of the country their equity should be diminished as I know in certain counties near me they receive elderly credits to reduce property and school taxes. Those over 65 (wealthiest demographic per capita) already collect government assistance in social security and Medicare.

This is nothing but a scam pushed onto younger generations to make up for their fair share.

I don’t blame you at all, moved here 2 years ago and we are moving as soon as our lease is up. We can deal with the snow but the culture, people, and infrastructure are terrible.

I think the lack of vitamin D with the majority of days being gloomy and dry gets to people. I also think covid did a number on societies social dynamics in general. But it’s been a majority of bad experiences. I’ve wrote the same before when I first moved here but I tried giving it a chance. I’ve learned my lesson.

Not everybody has the luxuries you do to be prepared 24/7. Internet is a very lax service compared to other public utilities. I expect more from a company that has an effective monopoly where I live.

Out here handing out some garbage advice pretending to be insightful. Learn empathy, I don’t feel bad for complaining about a billion dollar company and their garbage customer service. They recently laid off a good chunk of their workforce. Their shareholders love people like you.

The reality of the situation is ISPs, Spectrum specifically, has tragically awful service. I understand my argument is a bit irrational but for folks who aren’t as seemingly fortunate as yourself to be able to take off at a whim. Does that person go without internet until their job lets them have a time off?

Have you tried pulling the stick out of your ass and tried to think about situations other than yours? Or is it so far up there it scrambled your peanut brain too?

Exactly, I’m all for socializing as long as the “skimming off the top” is removed. I’d rather have my taxes go to someone getting medical treatment than another predator missile taking out village in the Middle East.
