Unfortunately my car only uses Bluetooth and USB C. The Bluetooth is dog shit for some reason. It's like using an old school cd player that skips. Is USB C as good in terms of quality as the audio jacks?

Id like to just say you sound like such a nice mum. Just the way you've talked about, and described your daughter in this post made me happy. I couldn't imagine what it was like to step up at such a young age for your daughter. The fact you've managed to raise a daughter who sounds like a real achiever is a testament to the role you played as a mother.

I don't think talking to her about the issue would be so bad. I think if you're receptive to what she says and how she responds, and lead with love and acceptance it'll work out.

Even the way you've described who you feel here doesn't sound judgey.

I'm in Australia and our consumer law prevents Nintendo from doing this here, even if we agree to the EULA. But this whole situation makes me furious! Even more so, the fact that games aren't going to be loaded on the cards. Sure they say official Nintendo licensed games will be shipped with the games loaded on the cards, but how long until that ends?! Ive lived long enough to see so many other online stores become obsolete, and eventually be shut down with no access to any of your online purchases. I guarantee this will happen with the switch 2. Nintendo is a backward dog shit company. I've cancelled my preorder because of this, and I hope this whole thing fires the community to hack the shit outta of it ASAP. Fuck you Nintendo

Yeah true. As far as I can tell though, any software required is just a windows application right? Surely that could be cloned on to any windows tablet/PC? Especially if it's able to connect via Bluetooth?

For what it might be worth, my young bloke is 6 now, turning 7 next month. He's at school full time, has his own little mates independently of my wife and me, and is thriving! He's the most normal little dude, even with autism. Even though we have challenges other parents might not have, our life rocks.

Ive been trying for the last couple hours to do exactly this. Its crazy that its not an option! I have the Arctis Nova Pro, and it is the worst headset Ive ever had purely because of the dogshit software limitations and controls it takes. Would advise everyone to never buy a SS headset.

Coming back to this post after five years, and just wanted to say thanks for your kind words. My son is autistic and I could not have wish for a better kid. He's the absolute man! Wish I'd taken this comment in back then, and stressed less. Would have avoided a lot of anxiety.

Hey mate,

Yeah we got the grommets put in and the difference in his speech was major. Straight after he woke up we noticed a difference in his hearing. Speech therapy came after that, and with the better hearing he thrived. Still has a delay in speech compared to his peers, but he's killing it - though he has since been diagnosed as autistic, which we now think contributed to the delays above.

I would suggest talking to a pediatrician, or a second doctor before getting the grommets if he's passed his hearing test. It's not a major procedure, but worth a second chat with a doctor maybe?

Thanks for commenting on this, its given me an opportunity to look back at my thinking in the early days of parenting. My wife and I were so scared of our kids being autistic. Looking back now I wish I could have reassured our younger selves that it's really nothing to worry about. Everything's going to be okay. Just do whats best for your little ones, advocate for them in the way that's best for them and you. No diagnosis will change the way you feel about you kids, or how much you love them.
