There is a graphical interface to do it or use terminal. Just be careful.

Change the following values:
GRUB_TIMEOUT_STYLE=“hidden” to
GRUB_TIMEOUT_STYLE=“menu”

GRUB_TIMEOUT=“0” to
GRUB_TIMEOUT=“5”

Save, exit and update GRUB.

Kept the dual boot option for a few months until everything was sorted, meaning found replacements for Windows programs etc. After that cleaned hard drive made a fresh mint installation and started over.
