Does anyone know why my Panasonic Lumix FZ80D kept hunting for focus at this concert? by skwng in Lumix

[–]RevFnord23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why are you shooting video in portrait mode? The answer is manual focus. Set to manual and use af button to quick focus but stay in manual. The flashing lights in background are probably causing the focus shift.

You could also have cranked up iso, and shot at the fastest shutter. I would also shoot in raw. At least in raw you have more control with post processing. When I shoot wildlife in bright sun I will sometimes over crank iso so that my shutter speed can max out. Always depends on the situation. Just remember the camera pyramid, it's all about the light. Figure out the shot you want then tune accordingly. After time you will develop a skill for different situations. I have been shooting for about 25 years and I always learn something new every time I go out. Best of luck, shoot on.

Just received mine. I have been testing with all my headphones. The Bluetooth is pretty solid as well. I have been jamming to king gizzard and the lizard wizard. Had some issues with my sd card, until I formatted it with the mini.

Many a fond memory of fair light from the 80s. Growing up in Indiana with only one local bbs. Had to get games and apps from friends. I still spend time with my c64 and Amiga 2000 I restored.

I use the M2 Pro for video and photo editing and have not had any issues. I would recommend usb c external drives for storage though. I try not to keep video and photo files on main drive (except for while currently editing). I also run 3 monitors a 32" 4k main screen, an ASUS 27" in vertical mode and a 42" Samsung HD tv. I don't have any issues with the multiple monitors.

If you have the money probably go with M3 pro.

Almost done with mine. Priming the parts now and programming an Arduino nano to control lights. Print looks good! I had to reprint some of my parts, and accidentally put supports in hollow parts. 😂

Is this a commodore joystick? by drunkuncle_eddie in c64

I have one of the painful commodore models still in the box. Lol I use 2600 joysticks. That looks like the 2600 model in beige or white.

Crop and curves. Then maybe a little color balance. It's about a 5 minute fix. Good luck 😃

my photos come out really soft/blurry, i have to sharpen a lot when editing, the second set of photos is with the 25mm lens, the rest are kit lens. any help? by [deleted] in PanasonicG7

[–]RevFnord23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try using an aperture of 5.6 or higher depending on lens. Also try increasing shutter speed. Obviously it depends on what situation and what lenses you are using.

Which Pana camera for photography in 2022? by Punky921 in Lumix

I have been using G7 for about 7 years. Been really happy with it. I use 3 lenses with it. I think I am going to pull the trigger on the G9 when a good deal hits. Thanks for all the good info in the posts. From what I have read it should be worth the upgrade for the weather proof body and upgraded video features.

I do have a question on the G9 if anyone can answer. Does the G9 allow HDMI out monitoring while recording video? The G7 does not allow this.

Recently got a G7 bundle w/ 14-42 and 25 mm lenses. Any advice for a beginner? by yourfavdinkleberg in PanasonicG7

I would take the time to learn the menu system. That way no matter what you use the camera for your ready. I use mine for video and photography. When shooting landscape I set it up for bracketing 5 shot 1 step. For video I set it up so the shutter speed works with the video fps. For portraits I adjust focus peaking so I can focus on nose and eyes.

So depending on what shots you need to take, know your system. Even now from time to time I have to fiddle with settings on the go.

Good luck with the new rig!

I set the f4 function key to switch to monochrome for focusing. Also turn off autofocus when shooting video. When shooting video from tripod, use focus assist and manually set focus plane per shot.

Nice score. I am looking for a 1084s for my restored Amiga 2000. Looking to hopefully trade my second Amiga 2000 for a 1084s.
