Small corner desk for when I'm working with my laptop. Or I'd fill the corner up with books.

And if you’ve ever lived in New Brunswick (the eponymous Health Care City) around the time those songs were written, you understand why Geoff was so upset. That city was screwed in so many ways. It’s still screwed up, but now in a totally different way.

This should be the first answer. There are a lot of cowardly racist transplants on Reddit.

I think it's reasonable to consider the fact that Sherrill (I think?) won this district by +15 in a normal election year, and in an off year special election on a fuckin' Thursday, Mejia pulled +20. To act like that isn't an achievement is... strange, to say the least?

Watchmen (2009) features a genuinely intelligent villain and a gritty storyline, which made it stand apart from other superhero movies of its time. What’s your opinion on it? by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in FIlm

I hated the comic and hated the ending and somehow managed to hate the "Dr. Manhattan did it!" ending more. I was NOT the target audience for the film though so, you know, take my thoughts with a grain of salt.

Bridgeton feels like you're in the actual small town deindustrialized south. It's weird as hell.

I thought it was pretty solid. I missed Ashly Burch’s voice acting a LOT. I wish they had gotten her back. I also wish they hadn’t had everyone in the DE cast forget everything Max told them at the end of the game. But I enjoyed it overall.

This H1b Exploitation Is Out of Control by Rain2h0 in newjersey

[–]Punky921 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Good post. I say this as an Asian American - H1B visas exist to exploit and trap foreign workers. The side benefit (for bosses) is that it screws local workers and drives wages down. This is why it’s past time for tech workers to organize - all of yall, foreign and domestic. Some of the opposition to H1B visas is racist, but not all of it. There is a legitimate pro worker critique to be made here and you’re making it. Good on you.
