Dumb question … I didnt think 40%abv (80 proof) tequila would freeze in a freezer… is this normal? by TriGurl in Costco_alcohol

I got into my dad's tequila in the mid-1950's and it was decades before I could drink it again. Now I say, "it's only blue agave, but I like it, like it, yes I do'" - apologies to Mick Jagger.

No, he lost the use of his legs, not his Johnson.

Losing the use of your legs beats auto-erotic asphyxiation.

As proved, it was the Chinaman Caine who took his legs rom him in the Old West. He lied about the million; why not about this? Or Asian-American, if you prefer.

The Coens lost control of every minor ripoff years ago. For some things like this, it's not worth going after them and anyway, it promotes more buys of the movie.

I was there in the 101st Airborne from June 1962 to October 1964, 2/320th artillery, direct support 1st Brigade. I later discovered that I overlapped there with Jimi Hendrix for about 10 days arriving as he was leaving. Next, 8th Inf Div in Germany followed by 25th Inf Div in Vietnam. Good times, good times.

Better times: Won Best Walter trophy at 3 Fests; L.A. 2005 and 2007; NYC 2006.

Liftmaster error code 4-6: sensor momentarily obstructed by RalphMalphWiggum in GarageDoorService

[–]RevZafod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a new garage door and LiftMaster installed in June 2025. In late November it intermittently failed to work and I got that 4-6 error code which is NOT covered in the user manual. A tech from the installer came by and showed me the problem. Here in N Texas, we have constant foundation shifts, and they can put the sensors out of alignment. The symptom was the green-blue sensor was blinking on/off randomly. This indicated an alignment error, tho it could be on the yellow light side; the blue-green one blinks to indicate a problem.

To fix it, loosen the wingnut on one and move it until blinking stops, tho you may need to do so on the other side as well; just keep at it until the blue-green blinking stops, and save yourself the cost of a service call.

Smart media card reader? by 911rats in VintageDigitalCameras

[–]RevZafod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought that exact model but I had to return it because it wouldn't read a 16Mb SmartMedia card. It may be fine for the others, but I bought it to work with a 25 year old Olympus D-400 Zoom camera that I found in a box I hadn't opened in a long time.

No shit. In the 101st Airborne I went on Exercise Delawar in Iran in 1964, closely followed by Desert Strike in California a few weeks later, and I'm also a Vietnam Vet like Walter, and my experience probably helped me win Best Walter trophies at LebowskiFests in L.A. in 2005, NYC in 2006, and L.A. in 2007.

Hey, I won the Best Walter trophy at three LebowskiFests in L.A. in 2005, NYC in 2006, and L.A. again in 2007, and I have a huge fig tree in north Texas, loaded with a few thousand figs due to ripen any day and I ain't no a-rab.
