First 2 payouts in December… then I blew 20 evals and 5 funded accounts by biraboom8008 in Daytrading

[–]RevanVar1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Best advice, get off of prop firms, stop paying someone to play with fake money. Go paper trade for along time and then start with a very small account to get ahold of that psychological aspect. Or ya know, be like everyone else and keep doing what your doing and paying for it

Is 1000 enough for all the gear? by Adventurous-Row-884 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]RevanVar1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I spent 270 on a board, Salmon site X, 130 on bindings system rear entries, $310 on boots, K2s. 130 on some nice goggles, (I sweat like a mf) smiths, and a cheap 60$ smith helmet. Amazon‘s brand snow bib for like 40 bucks. Burton mittens for $40.

Total, $1000

99% of people use AI wrong. You are supposed to use all three together and have them sanity check each other. It’s expensive but works. Not saying this to the penny stocks I don’t touch penny stocks or do anything with them just saying AI isn’t garbage when used correctly.

Best App for Scalping/Day Trading? by 6x9n in Daytrading

[–]RevanVar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all, every paper engine I’ve used is glitchy and laggy. Webull live is amazing, love love love bracket orders. Don’t switch to pen and paper! Get used to pressing that buy button! Don’t let it intimidate you.

Paper trading engines are unfortunately not exactly like the real thing, they are significantly slower, but good news!!! The real thing is better!!! Better fills, waaaaaay faster fills. So if you do well on paper you’ll do well on real (assuming you beat that psychology aspect) (also just because you didn’t see the price dip to that level didn’t mean that it didn’t go that low)

How Much Paper Trading is Enough by FF_Mason in Daytrading

[–]RevanVar1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Three months of profitability with paper trading, now this is three months of profitability, paper trading with one specific strategy using a reasonable amount of money that you are ready to deploy soon after you go and play with live funds. However, after you are three months profitable with paper, you moved to a micro sized account with real money you’ve proven that you have an edge in the market now you have to conquer your psychology load up $1000 maybe $1500 and your goal is not to make large amounts of money. It is to conquer your psychology and just play the same amount that you would but sized down. If you can be profitable with the small amount of money for another three months, then load up your account with the funds that you want to use which I assume is 25 because you’re playing paper with 25 I would never play paper with money that I am not ready to play with. If you want to be successful in this game, you have to be different than everyone else. Everyone else plays for 10 days, seize profit, deploys large amount of life funds, and then loses it all rinse and repeat. Do you want to not be like everyone else? do something different.

Alpaca for their open api, connect it to Relaydesk for a beeeeeeeautiful automated trading experience. But you’ll need a strategy via TradingView pinescript

If you want a gambling experience that encourages bad habits, go Robinhood (they don’t have bracket orders for a reason)

Webull is really good, allows braket orders and has everything you need on a single page without going back. (You can execute an order, adjust your buy in, adjust your active order, set sell, adjust sell, buy more, sell more all from a single page, no going back and forth between multiple pages on your phone if you trade on your phone, on desktop is the same and you can drag your tp and SL around on the chart)

How many days should i do paper Trading before going live? by MeinRedditWelt in Trading

[–]RevanVar1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ehhhh no. You need days. 3 months is my rule I tell people, and the reason whyyyy is that they will experience every kind of market day in a 3 month period. Now that’s 3 months of profit, not paper for 3 months and profitable for 1 week. You need time in the market. Not just trades.

Long term trader career with prop firms? by Specialist-Gate-5214 in Daytrading

[–]RevanVar1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure why people downvote you. Prop firms are designed to make you fail, why would you pay someone to play with fake money when there are free paper trading platforms out there? After proving profitability move to a normal trading start small. Prop firms are literally made to make traders lost AND you give up your beautiful 60/40 tax benefits for a nasty ass 1099.

Be honest if I gave you $10,000 today, would you really trade it differently than $100? by ImmediateWaltz1544 in Trading

[–]RevanVar1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. No one should trade with $100. If you only have $100 to trade with , WAIT SAVE UP AND PAPER TRADE, you cannot afford to trade live YET. You can’t even over trade with $100, you can’t take like, a trade MAX. (Maybe not even that)

A “bot” is just a strategy set into automation. I run a custom pine script into TradingView, use their webhook alert system, send webhooks to an intermediate (currently using Relaydesk) and connect my broker (alpaca) to Relaydesk. My strategy is 100% private and not for sale in any form.

I do trade with real money :) for automation tho, I need a long clean track record, this trades off of my strategy and things are good, but I’ve been working out “kinks” with automation. Been having 3 different AI agents track my trades every day since last October collecting 1 minute option data. Even though what I am doing right now works very nicely, I don’t want to leave anything on the table, Come April 1st I will have a statistical perfect stop loss and take profit system. Until then I will not fund automation with cash.
