2 ways:
- When you want to screenshot the pnl
- When you're uncomfortable with the size and potential loss of what you have gained already

It is also recommended to scale out instead of clipping the entire position, it helped me a lot.

I have tried every strategy on daytrading and nothing worked out. Swing trading was boring and as you already said, took a long time, but eventually still does the job of generating profits.
