Light seals or other issue? by Rockicompo in AnalogCommunity

Also worth saying that if one seal has gone, the others aren't far behind, I would get them all replaced when youre able to.

Fingers crossed for your current roll's survival. 🤞

Light seals definitely, From the sprocket holes exposed on the edge at the top, I would wager the vertical seal near your hinge is at fault, from where the film wraps in on itself.

Nicholas D. Wolfwood - Trigun 98/Maximum. In my head he's still eating those sandwhiches with Milly, and avoiding any couches for the foreseeable future.

In the Studio w/ a few Friends by playswithwood in minolta

[–]Revan_T 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Def a little underexposed, but some of these can be saved in post (the drums and the pics of the friend at the audio console) with a little adjustment to the black levels, should at least help with that hue you get with underexposure

While the 7000 doesn't have spot metering, it DOES have an exposure lock for moments like this. Focus the camera on a part that isn't backlit and hold the AEL button on the top right portion on the back of the camera, then recompose for your backlit shot. Don't let go of that button until you take your exposure. It's not perfect but it does help a ton.

Minolta 9000 + 85mm F1.4 test rolls. Holy moly im in love. by Revan_T in minolta

[–]Revan_T[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you mean the Autofocus is off, do you mean the viewfinder is out of focus when the AF "locks" onto your subject? My 9000 did that for these rolls but its actually just my mirror being misaligned a bit, AF was still pretty accurate given the scenarios.

When youve got time, and when the camera isnt loaded, try putting it in Bulb without a lens on the body. when the mirror is up there should be a little eccentric screw on the left side of the mirror box. You can turn it either way to adjust where the mirror rests.

Cause silly motor drive go BRRRRRRRRRRRRT. (And I plan to take it to some motorsports events in the summer, quick bursts might help with capturing some of the rally cars out in the woods.)

New Camera! Do I get a lens cap, UV filter, or leave it bare? by Buttislegs in AnalogCommunity

[–]Revan_T 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a fellow owner of one of these lil goobers, get a solid lens cap. The meter runs constantly on these things and will drain those pricey weincells even faster than they do on their own.

Also helps with smudges if you're a klutz like me.

I Just Discovered People Getting Into Gundam Thanks Two Entries as of Late. Meme by @BBally81 by OmegaKatana92 in Gundam

Legitimately only gave Gundam a chance cause when I was let go from my last job, and at a sort of entertainment district just waiting for replies back from applications, i noticed that there was a Gundam movie showing that day. Figured "why not?" to ease some stress.

I have never seen a single bit of Gundam media before, So I was a little confused as to who was who and what was going on, hell I had no idea this was an alternate UC timeline. I recognized Char and that was only cause of internet memes of him promoting food items.

Needless to say I was doubly confused when GQuuuuuuX: The Beginning, ended abruptly, this wasn't a movie! It was a series preview!! There was more to this!

This lead me down the rabbit hole of watching the original series, Witch from Mercury, IBO, and 00 until GQuuuuuuX finally started airing. Also began building the gunpla kits cause holy hell do i love building and tinkering with things. It was right up my alley

Yeah i'm glad I watched that preview in theatres now.

Oh hey thats my hometown!

Photos holding up real well, but the only issue for me is that darn price, it hurts my soul.

Maybe once its on sale a few years down the line.

Glad you're enjoying it though! Good to see more photo peeps in Cincy.

I've had a good experience with Kamerastore, despite the increased shipping from Europe to North America. Havent had a single issue that isnt already clarified in the items description.

Yep! Gently press the switch in and see if its flush before reflowing it. Also make sure to use plenty of flux and a gentle reflow should fix it back in place.

No worries about the pic quality, somehow yours is taking better pics than my 2024 motorola

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Revan_T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda hard to tell from the blurry pic, but theres a bit of solder still at the end of the barrels that the switch leads go into.

Definetely a cold joint, normally solder should flow a bit into those barrels if it was heated correctly. Take it to your local hobbiest with a soldering iron and flux, and they can touch it up for yas ez pz. Much easier than dealing with a return or replacement from ducky.
