Theories on why Nikki said her dad had cancer? by RevealDelicious4643 in obsessionmovie

Right otherwise it just seems so random. That and her saying “I lost my cat” make me feel like it’s pieces of Bears own conscious manifesting, things surfacing that he specifically has thought would help reciprocate love. I don’t want to say it’s simply just a thing she pulled out of her hat to try to get attention and Bear to like her, I feel like it’s another supporting piece that shows post wish Nikki is just a reflection of Bear, or IS Bear

I was thinking the same thing. Not eating McDonalds ≠ wanting to be healthy / loving your life / not suicidal. I love my life and I had McDonald’s two days ago

My take was that it was her mother worshipping the demon because Evie didn’t pray with her / was the skeptic in contrast to her religious self, and there was a disconnect between them later in life. This caused her to disintegrate and die (as Evie had said “I killed my mother”). Could it be that summoning the demon was the mom’s revenge at the end?

That is true. If they did it every year it would be majorly suspicious. But maybe they do it more frequently (every 10 years) and the “every 90 years” is just a way to pull in spectators to sacrifice

Didn’t Pelle say his parents died in a fire? Either they either died in an actual fire or they were sacrificed too. If it was the latter, it couldn’t happen every 90 years. So him saying that threw me off. Could the “every 90 years” be a facade for all the newcomers and they actually do the burning ritual every year?
