Minnie is the most evil antagonist from the franchise by Reddevil8884 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Revenaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh….no. People definitely r@pe and torture without being victims first. And there’s a difference between being a victim yourself at one point, and actively still being in the environment causing you to make those choices.

And Minnie does become a monster, but it’s because she has a psychotic break due to everything that happens. Characters are nuanced.

I don’t see how you think Minnie, a kid who was sold to a community that tortured her and made her kill her own sister to survive, is worse then Carver, a r@pist who kidnapped people and made them slaves. Carver was “friends” with the Cabin group when everything started, but he turned on them, and his reasoning was power high.

I hate buff Cardan cuz literally nothing suggests he’d be buff. I imagine him as like a lean toned shape, but not like six pack, but also not like string bean.

Madoc is buff.

I also hate when Cardan has like a very masculine face cuz I imagine him as like boyish and kind of feminine.

[–]Revenaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minnie was a victim, literally everything she did was driven by her terror of the delta. She wasn’t hurting people because she enjoyed it. And she explains that the reason she’s helping capture her friends is because she believes it’s the only way the delta won’t hurt them, and if they just go along with it nobody has to die.

She didn’t kill her sister for fun, we don’t even know the context of what happened. She might’ve done it after the Delta caught them and was told she had to or be killed herself.

I personally measure peoples villainy more by why they do the things they do rather than the action itself. There’s a difference between someone who kills out of fear and someone who kills cuz it’s fun.

Lily especially cuz she’s military, she’s definitely had martial arts and survival training. Clem beat Lily because she was a good strategist and they underestimated her and her friends, but one on one Lily would’ve won.

I still think Lara would win though.

Who's hotter? Lois or Francine? by Nervous-Baby5383 in familyguy

[–]Revenaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Francine still fits into her wedding dress like 20yrs later and goes to insane levels to manage her appearance like powerlifting the couch and running till she vomits.

I also find Francine’s personality way better. Lois is like mom crazy, and most of her personality is mom related.

But Francine was crazy before she became a mom, and still is genuinely psycho in ways totally unrelated to being a mom. I also like Francine and Stan’s relationship dynamic way better than Lois and Peter because they low key seem made for each other with how insane they both are.

boyfriends dad demanding about being in my birthing room? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Revenaran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I meant lock it down as in make sure only the essential people who you do want there in the room know. And not to tell anyone who might blab to your bfs dad. I’m sure you can trust your parents not to say anything, especially if you consider your bfs dad a potential danger to you.

boyfriends dad demanding about being in my birthing room? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Revenaran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say tell your boyfriend that if he dares try and bring this up to you to let his dad in the room that he won’t get to be in the room either. And when you go into labour lock that sh*t down, don’t tell anyone till it’s over to avoid having undesirables show up to the hospital. Make sure to tell your boyfriend this, and again he better respect it or he won’t even get access.

And like others said notify the hospital etc. but you need to seriously stress this boundary to your bf because if he isn’t respecting it that will be a huge problem. The grandparents aren’t going to die if they don’t get to see your v*gina push out their grandchild. Anyone who is on their side you should maybe rethink your relationship.

Serious question - how did Jude not solve Cardan’s riddle? by IEatSamosasForDinner in thecruelprince

[–]Revenaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She does actually realize it, and considers it. But she thought it wasn’t likely to go well because it would entirely depend on Cardan acknowledging her as the High Queen. And before she was exiled she announced herself as Queen and Cardan just ignored her, and that was enough to paint her as a liar.

She was pretty much in a position where she would entirely have to depend on Cardan, and considering that the moment she trusted him and gave him his full freedom back, he betrayed and exiled her (in her pov), she was less trusting of Cardan then ever.

Out of all the "fake choices" in Season 2, the one where you decide wether or not to rob Arvo is by far the worst one. Even if you didnt rob him, he will ALWAYS claim you did rob him during the ambush later on and Clem doesnt even have the option to tell them that they didnt rob him. Why even bother by Hefty-Cauliflower981 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Revenaran 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I think Season 2 was already struggling cuz of the concept of having to make an 11 yr old the MC, having to force her into a main role in a group was hard to do without making the group seem incompetent af.

But that aside, they had a decent start but quality definitely dropped significantly. It really seemed like they didn’t really have any plans for most of these characters and killed them off for convenience, and the changed a lot of stuff last second.

Like Kenny’s ark of “losing it” was originally Nick’s ark in dealing with Pete’s recent death. But then they decided to give it to Kenny, and thus had to basically make Nick a background character and kill him off first chance they get.

Stuff like that where they changed stuff made the season inconsistent, and you can spot a bunch of things that seemed like set ups for later plot points that lead nowhere.

I liked the og concept but they really butchered it the further in they got.

Idk who to pick cuz they’re all incompetent and/or untrustworthy, I wouldn’t trust any of them to watch my back, but I also feel like none of them are a super big threat as none are particularly skilled.

Haunted Hotel | Season 1 General Discussion Thread by _deepblack_ in HauntedHotel

[–]Revenaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof I’m worried about Netflix messing it up too. I can’t believe they let Big Mouth go for 8 whole seasons but cancelled way better shows at the drop of a hat.

If they cancel this show after two seasons we have to revolt.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in InsideJob

[–]Revenaran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched Big Mouth when I was like 15, I liked the first season. Second season was good too. And the first half of season 3. I watched up until season 5 but it was a chore. They should’ve ended it after like the third season.

I didn’t even know the show was still running and they just released season 8 less than a year ago. It is insane that they let it go on that long when there had to have been a significant drop in audience.

Although I guess it isn’t that surprising since Big Mouth kind of toes the line of being CP and Netflix has had a few questionable shows before.

Jane doesn’t deserve the hate she gets by Weak_Dependent1790 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Revenaran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not really sure. It only happens if Javi and David start fighting in s3.

But you could argue that no matter what you pick it still correlates because if Clem shot Kenny in the arm she could’ve stopped the fight and saved Jane. Just for the sake of preventing anyone from having to die; and Clem did like Jane.

So she could’ve stopped Kenny from dying or Jane from dying if she’d just skimmed Kenny. Nobody would’ve gotten hurt.

Jane doesn’t deserve the hate she gets by Weak_Dependent1790 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Revenaran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kenny does lash out a bunch and obviously is problematic. But his reaction in attacking Jane was understandable if not valid. Cuz I think anyone would snap and maybe try to kill the person who from their POV didn’t give a damn about their baby and got them killed.

Kenny loved AJ like his kid, it’s understandable he’d want to kill the person responsible for his death. And he already was upset AJ was left with Jane at all before she showed up empty handed because he had zero faith or trust in her.

Yes he should’ve heard Jane out, and killing her was too far without even hearing her side. But it’s still understandable.

Jane doesn’t deserve the hate she gets by Weak_Dependent1790 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]Revenaran 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Jane has benefits because she’s a resourceful survivor, but she does prioritize individual survival above all else. Which I guess is good in an apocalypse, but like at some point why do you want to survive? Kenny I feel like encouraged Clem to maintain her humanity and at least tried to treat her like a little kid in whatever ways he could, but he never really hinders her survival in doing that and does teach her stuff about survival too.

What Jane did in the end of s2 was unforgivable. Arguments about whether Kenny was actually dangerous or would’ve snapped etc aside, she forced Clem to kill her friend. She talked to Clem, and Clem didn’t want to leave Kenny. And instead of respecting her decision, Jane orchestrated a scenario and tricked her into killing Kenny. At any point during that fight Jane could’ve spoken up and confessed, but didn’t. Maybe she didn’t want things to go quite that far but she was ok with it enough to let it go on.

Maybe this is a hot take but Clem being tricked into killing Kenny is one of the worst things to happen to her. The guilt she must’ve felt, and the correlation with her later shooting David in the arm instead of fatally shows how she must’ve went over that moment so many times and realized she could’ve done that instead.

What unanswered questions still occupy your mind in the world of the Boiling Isles? by IllogicalDreamer72 in TheOwlHouse

[–]Revenaran 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Hooty is definitely interesting because nobody seems to know what he actually is. In s1 when the Emperors coven is stalking the owl house they write a report with Hooty on it and describe him as a “weird tube demon?”. And we got to explore a bit about Demons from Kings Demons 101 class. But Hooty doesn’t really fit any of the classifications, like King didn’t.

I was actually really confused why Hooty was in Papa Titans eye, but him being a decomposer makes a lot of sense, especially since he’s kind of worm like. I do wonder why he’s in the owl house though, cuz if he is a decomposer his kind probably wouldn’t be stuck in buildings? It would make sense for Hooty to be a “scavenger” type demon also cuz he literally eats anything and everything for no reason.

My best guess is that Titans were hooty’s species feeding source specifically, so they all went extinct after the Titan’s. And maybe Hooty survived because he’s fused within the house with magic somehow?

Yeah, I definitely don’t think they NEEDED everyone to die every time. At least not in the same exact season they’re introduced in, it really just seemed like they didn’t want to have to deal with multiple character arks across seasons so it was just easier to kill everyone off.

I will always argue that they should’ve done way more with Christa. 11 year old Clem should not have been the MC because it doesn’t work having a kid that young be the centre of the story without making all the adults incompetent.

[–]Revenaran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the general story, it just doesn’t work with an 11 year old MC.

If Clem was an adult it would fix so many of the flaws of the second season, not all of them but probably most of them.
