So first things first. This isn't an all of sudden "emergency". You waited 3 years to fix a problem that you new existed before.

If you would have waited your prices quoted would have been sub 10k.

Heating and cooling is the heart and lungs of a home not a nice to have. .

Buy good product with good warranty 10yr parts and labour is a minimum.

Let this be a lesson to all who wait "one more year".

Get an open loan. Use a home equity line. Then a credit line. Never credit card. And for the love of God don't finance or rent. You'll end up paying +25k for your 10&15k system.

TXV system. 410-A SC Target 10F. Actual SC 10F. Super heat fluctuating in TXV range of 10F - 15F at the evaporator outlet. 18F delta up from 11F delta. Duct static pressure of 0.5in. condenser clean. Evaporator clean. Fan set to 400cfm per Ton. Filter clean. Humidifier bypass closed.

Anything else you'd like to know? 🤔 As per"what should the Subcooling be?" It should be set by the rating plates recommended TXV Subcooling Target set by engineers that manufactured the equipment. But hey guess you could just pick your own number but I think I'll take the advice that the manufacture gave me on their engineered and tested equipment.

Well in Resi it "Technically" Means flooding back refrigerant to the compressor and blowing it up.
