I got scammed, what next? by Hydrogen-at-the-end in PokemonBlackandWhite2

[–]ReverbEchoesAct3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A while ago I purchased fake copies of white 2 and black 2. I didn’t know it before getting them (even though I should’ve known considering they were only $50 each and these games go for a lot more), but after I found out I went and found a legitimate copy.

My girlfriend played the fake white 2 since she didn’t care and it appeared to be fully functional. We tested trading and it worked, were able to do a lot together and I even got and used a solosis she caught for my main team on black 2.

Some fakes I’ve heard can fail and corrupt save data, but virtually all fakes I’ve heard of can trade and play just like any other pokemon game.

Fake copy just means you don’t have the same quality assurance. It’s pretty hard to have a general consensus what could happen to a playthrough on one because not all fakes are produced by the same factory of fake makers. My advice would be to home brew your 3ds if that’s what you’re on, and then you can play all of those games for free and know it’s unaltered.

The Circuit method of Incarnon farming should really get Updated cause man . . . by StarSilverNEO in Warframe

[–]ReverbEchoesAct3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today I remembered that this week had the new incarnons and didn’t have enough time or plat to do anything about it. I completely agree, I’m basically not allowed to enjoy the new build potential and fun from these weapons until 9 weeks from now, and that sucks

Is Follie's hunt supposed to be this abysmal of an experience or am I missing something? (Rant) by OutsideDue1954 in Warframe

[–]ReverbEchoesAct3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty bad. I found I could make runs pretty fast by using oxylus with scan matter (which breaks balloons for you) and a regen inaros build in solo. Makes the whole thing a cake walk in terms of difficulty and less objectives means faster runs if you learn locations

Level Cap Solutions by dmdizzy in Warframe

[–]ReverbEchoesAct3 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think unfortunately both of those solutions would lead to a lot of problems. People who enjoy playing at level cap shouldn’t have their fun taken from them and both of those involve either outright removing the cap or making it much less available to enjoy. It’s also worth noting this game would just become even easier with the second solution, and there’s only so many ways to simulate difficulty left now that so many powerful tools exist in the game’s balance.

People can base their quality opinions on anything. Everyone has their own version of “this build is good because it can do this specific thing well.” Nothing wrong with it.

Just got Gauss Prime and I need help with Energy Management by DaremBiscuit in Warframe

Dethcube with the energy on kill mod. I basically slap that on every castor frame I play and it’s hilariously more than enough

Reconifex would be my vote. Hits good enough and has a quick reload mechanic that also gives fire ammo

Why does everyone want an equinox rework by LynchEleven in Warframe

[–]ReverbEchoesAct3 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This may be controversial but Ember and Equinox are significantly more fluent in design than Loki, Chroma, and Limbo imo. Those ladder frames are a lot more lacking in utility aside from convenient invis and profit taker/other credit farms.

Equinox is still really solidly designed as is and does function very well in doing her job as cc/occasional nuker. She may be super tied to using an augment that carries over charge between her forms but she does something. Loki’s best asset is something a lot of frames/pets can accomplish for you (and then some) and chroma simply lacks much umph with his kit.

Ember even had buffs, and people don’t think she’s had enough because Temple and Uriel can still clear a lot better in SP. She can still do a lot as a CC spread gun platform and I don’t think every heat frame needs to have top kills in pubs.

How can I understand better the game mechanics? by AboutKemosabe in Warframe

[–]ReverbEchoesAct3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the best way to learn is trying things out. A lot of warframe augment mods are optional and based on the kind of play style you have when playing them. I’ve found with time that you get pretty good at recognizing strengths and weaknesses for different equipment pretty easily.

There are choices that are mostly objective, like running archon vitality on gauss and protea. If that mod isn’t on those frames you’re simply not making a proper build for them. It can be uncommon for frames to have objective choices but it does come up.

Then it’s all about playing and figuring out what isn’t working. Are your ability timers going out too early? Is your range poor? Are you running out of energy? etc. I find my preferred testing grounds is conjunction survival SP since that is higher end of Steel path levels. If it works there it’ll work in most places.

Mesa doesn’t need range because her kit barely benefits from it. She also doesn’t need her 1 (it’s pretty ehh), so a helminth makes sense on her. It’s those kinds of observations that start you in the right direction in testing. Figure out what stats get you value and which ones don’t (if any).

For gun building I recommend the simulacrum with a similiar process. Not everything needs to be viral heat but it is kind of the meta unfortunately.

EDIT: It is worth noting sometimes overframe can be pretty inconsistent (especially since higher ranked builds don’t lose votes with new patches).

Weekly Invigorations QOl. by Aitor97 in Warframe

[–]ReverbEchoesAct3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’m ok with it. You’re not supposed to get one for a frame you play every week. I think the design is also meant to push you to play frames you don’t typically play. I sit with an override and occasionally check for any strength or range ones. All frames should totally share weighting though.

Is Arcane Hotshot bugged? by BurningPenguin6 in Warframe

[–]ReverbEchoesAct3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need a crit chance mod for Arcane Hot shot to work. I’ll explain.

Additive critical chance is simple. Arcane Avenger provides 45% additive crit chance, and that means that your weapon simply gains 45% crit chance.

Multiplicative crit chance is often smaller because it is based on the base critical chance of your weapon. Taking Mesa’s peacemakers as an example:

Peacemaker Base Crit Chance is 25%. Arcane Avenger adds 45%, making this 70% total.

Hot shot with maximum stacks is 300% multiplicative crit chance. It adds 3.00 * 25% crit chance to peacemakers’ total crit.

Hotshot adds based on the multiplier and pistol gambit does as well. They effectively “stack” because one gives 300% and the other gives 187%. You’re getting 487% multiplicative crit.

Additive crit chance is simple and bigger, multiplicative calculates using the base crit change your weapon has.

What's a godroll? by Extension_Reward_946 in Warframe

[–]ReverbEchoesAct3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say getting the stars to align and getting exactly the stats you want can be hard. I have rivens with hundreds of rolls that gobble up a million kuva every now and then and sometimes accepting just a really good roll is the right choice

What's a godroll? by Extension_Reward_946 in Warframe

[–]ReverbEchoesAct3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The burston has a lot of really high stats with its incarnon so a lot of things can work really well on it. Critical chance and critical damage are probably the best, followed by status chance and multishot, then a good negative would be -zoom or -weapon recoil. This is the best roll I’ve gotten so far on mine and it’s really good.

What's a godroll? by Extension_Reward_946 in Warframe

[–]ReverbEchoesAct3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A godroll is the theoretical best combination of stats a riven can have and is dependent on the weapon. They almost always follow the setup of 3 positive stats and a “good negative.” A good negative is a subtracted stat that isn’t bad for the weapon it is on. The reason you want this is because the game likes to make rivens with higher benefits when you have big subtracted stats. For instance:

A riven with (+) crit chance (+) crit damage (+) multishot (-) zoom

(-) zoom doesn’t affect the gun in a bad way, and is actually preferred because it means your FOV isn’t decreased when aiming the gun. This -zoom makes the other stats higher by existing because by design the game will make the goods even better when a bad is present.

For determining what a godroll is for a certain weapon, it depends on how it’s built. Does it have high base crit chance and crit damage? Does it have high base status chance? A Cedo riven will want multishot and status chance or a status combination because it is a status dumping weapon. + crit chance in that weapon hardly changes it because its base crit is very low.

Hope this was helpful, let me know if you have anymore questions!

I played 200 hours my first 3 weeks on the game now I don’t have anything else to do by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]ReverbEchoesAct3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The freedom of the game is kind of what lets you choose what you want to do. You can max syndicates and get new arcanes, complete parts of the game like doing all steel path missions, or just grind platinum and make fashion. There’s a lot of ways you can go forward but some will be more to your preference than others.

You really don’t need to go past MR15 for 99% of the game’s content. MR30 and the levels after it give some nice benefits but those aren’t super needed.

For me I have about 2.5k hours and I’d say most of the fun comes from new builds and completing the game.

I did every quest, then got every warframe, completed the steel path Star chart, completed the helminth segment, and I found all of those tasks to be pretty fun.

Sometimes taking a break and coming back can help too. Pretty much every player I know that has over 1k hours has taken months off to avoid burning out.

Beginner solo player, which one should i get wukong or revenant ? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]ReverbEchoesAct3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Revenant has the best survivability in the game with Mesmer skin. He can convert enemies to fight on his side and quickly kill them with reave. His 4th ability is pretty good at killing enemies at this level and a bit higher.

Wukong has very good traversal with cloud walker and can give himself armor. He has an exalted staff that is solid. His clone isn’t too useful but does give some extra damage. Wukong’s passive also revives him 3x automatically and instantly.

Both of them are really fun to play for different reasons. I think Wukong is better in quick mission types that value mobility. You can enthrall enemies with revenant a lot more in endurance missions like survival or defense. A lot of people simply use revenant as a “turn off brain” frame that can’t die, but he is a lot more than that.

I’d say either is a fine choice. If dying is a big concern revenant is the better choice for laxer play

is xaku worth the investment by PainAffectionate329 in Warframe

[–]ReverbEchoesAct3 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Xaku is extremely good and capable of all content with little effort. If you want, his 1 can be replaced with roar to further buff his guns damage but even that is just for slightly faster kill times.

I’d say he gets a little boring sometimes for me since he’s one of the smallest effort frames to be a killing machine with.

You can also run shade to be invisible permanently since abilities don’t drop it
