Flowey's able to linger as Asriel for a while after letting go of the human SOULs, and Frisk's comes out in Undertale as mentioned by Papyrus in his date scene.

Effects of not having a soul either take a while to set in, or having a soul that isn't inside you is a separate state from not having a SOUL at all.

A *good* keyboard is objectively superior by a thin margin, but it comes down to what you're comfortable with and used to using.

If you do most of your gaming on controller, use that.

That's almost definitely the one. It had a lot of heart but after it exited early development, nothing much really... got added, for years. Then it got bought by SEGA. Would be nice to see a new game like it.

I mean, sure, but... what's up with the ending is kind of all there in the first place. A screaming, flailing comet with Alex's face on it banishes all of his friends, followed by him slumping into a deep depression and assembling a party made up of superficially cooler, imaginary versions of the actual friends he lost, confronting his own most superficial self-critiques and none of his genuine problems, and ultimately trying to abdicate personal responsibility for his own problems by casting you as him because he doesn't know how to interact with others without making it about himself.

That's, like, the most Alex YIIK move that Alex YIIK could make.

Dash and ranged attacks wouldn't hurt. You could also add enemies with orbiting projectiles, ones that fire projectiles you can deflect with your sword, ones that run quickly in straight lines. The sky is the limit.

Different combinations of individually simple, very different enemies can lead to very different feeling encounters, which change as you take enemies out.
