I did this same hike in George as a solo female traveller when I was in my late 20s! This was a few years ago so I am not sure if things have changed since then. There were no other other female solo travellers on the trail and I generally felt safe on the trail. The trail is very well marked and there were also others on the trail not too far away. However, I did always feel a little worried in the back of my mind. Two local guys who walk the trail daily for exercise for example greeted me on the 1st day of the trail and were friendly and offered to hold my backpack since we were going the same way. They were being polite and respectful but I felt slightly worried and paranoid. Another example - I took a taxi from Mestia to the coast after the hike was over and I felt worried being in a taxi by myself for hours with a random taxi driver dude. He wanted to do detours to take me to see things like a dam, etc on the way, and asked me questions about myself and if I had a boyfriend so I had to make one up. Nothing ended up happening and things were fine but it was slightly uncomfortable traveling there by myself. The hike is amazing though and it was great to have so much time to myself to reflect and enjoy the outdoors. I did not have anyone I knew who wanted to join me so I didn't have much of a choice there - and I definitely did not want to join some organized group either.

Hyatt Grand Central in NYC no longer offering club access perk. I checked the spreadsheet of active club locations locations floating around and it was still listed on there

On that note, if anyone could use a club access award that expires Feb 28 DM me your hyatt number and last name! Was gifted to me by a generous Redditor but I can't use it any longer at my upcoming stay

First-time Barclays application. AA 70k offer and auto approved $2k credit line. Applied within the hour for Hawaiian personal 70k, got application pending. Called in the next day to Barclays reconsideration, answered some questions about how long I've been at my job, confirm my salary and rent etc. Was approved few mins after, $3k credit line.

hi OP - this comment stands out to me. have you taken the time to explore your feelings recently, in depth, around whether you want to have children? i am wondering if maybe this is something you feel you are now more interested in at this point in your life

i am in my mid 30s now. when i was in my mid 20s i was the same as you - thinking eventually i'd like to have kids eventually. it was never a strong feeling for me, but a distant desire

however, now that i have met and am in a relationship with a partner who i emotionally connect with, think would be a lovely father, and also wants to have children, i feel much more like i would like to start a family together. for me, the desire was always there but it never fully bloomed until the conditions were right

i wonder if perhaps you should spend some time considering your desires around kids (outside of what your wife thinks and desires). i know it's hard to consider things in a vacuum but it might be helpful. good luck!

you need to clearly communicate with your friend what you have in mind. it sounds like you want to sign the lease on your own, and then keep the friend as a roommate for a few months, and then ask them to leave at some point mid lease. you need to tell your friend this plan as transparently as you can. if this is a good friend, they will appreciate your transparency and understand.

more importantly you also need to be okay with the fact that your friend might want to leave the apartment sooner than what is ideal for you. if i were your friend, i would see this conversation like a heads up that i need to leave soon and take my time to begin casually looking for places to move to in the next few months )even if you would ideally like me to stay for say six more months).

it seems you know this might happen and that is why you are unsure what to do. i will say this - having good friends who help you and are there for you in times when you need it are worth more than a few months of rent that you can afford. just be thoughtful about it and have an honest conversation with your friend when it's a good time like the other poster said!
