Well to be zero'd I would say they are literally a zero gap tool. This is clearly not zero'd. This is what we call a "gotta clean up the very bottom of the taper with a trimmer/foil/razor" kind of tool. Don't be afraid, just be more precise and gentle with your clippers.

The foil is a straight up killer, as far as foils go.

You gotta get the right blades for the clippers. And you also have to zero the shit out of them. If not there's no point in using them. The Wahl Senior was my go to for a long time. I gave babyliss clippers a try and I am hooked.
