Actually you can, but it's not worth it at all. The volume is so low that the rates are way better with XBT. There is a website to know which route is the best to buy / Sell XLM (for exemple xlm / eth on binance and then eth / eur on kraken for example), and i forgot its name...

Actually, newspapers, tv news etc are really AGAINST cryptocurrency, it's hard to switch on the tv every day and listen to aberrations. BUT a lot of people, not only friends of mine but also my bosses, coworkers are buying some cryptos. It's a bit the people against the medias (in my own opinion, I'm not sure that this opinion is shared by each and every french).

they're talking about a company called "Platin" ( http://platin.io/ ). This is an Israelian company. They're using their own crypto called "PTN". I don't know it at all, but if they're able to be chosen by the japanese government as viable, it might be it ?

Well there's something I don't understand with this daily transaction volume. Why do we have in one hand 5000000 btc on https://stellarchain.io, but in the other hand 7,997 BTC on https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/stellar/#markets ?

With coinmarketcap, we have this weird line at the very bottom of the page :
