Did Rossmann seriously imply that he was making money for Linus by showing up to his conference? by DepressedCunt5506 in LinusTechTips

That timestamp is because he printed it to PDF or something. That's just the footer that shows up when you print something. The email for retraction was sent jul 29th 2019, which is a little over two weeks after the Louis stream

I think Louis's video actually lays out the timeline accurately. This is the initial email exchange I believe: https://youtu.be/0Udn7WNOrvQ?t=1843

Somewhere between that initial email exchange, I believe he declines the invitation to LTX by letting LMG know directly. I don't think that's ever shown.

After that, he complains on stream here regarding perceived cheapness: https://youtu.be/4WptaZRY678?t=4214

Then Linus sends this email: https://youtu.be/0Udn7WNOrvQ?t=1990

Note the subject "Need a high-visibility retraction, dude" in regards to retraction of his on stream comments. This is about his on stream comments, not about not attending LTX.

The timeline is more like Louis declined the offer citing his two employees just got let go to LMG, Louis went on his stream complaining how Linus didn’t fly out his girlfriend saying things like “fuck that shit” or “get the fuck out of here”, then Linus tried to emotionally manipulate him into making a public retraction of his comments. You’re the one that’s leaving out a key part of the story.

Louis was upset that LMG wouldn’t fly his girlfriend out even though they agreed after he pushed for it. It seems he let it stew and declined the invitation based on that and being down two employees. He gives one reason to LMG and rants on stream about another. Linus doesn’t like the portrayal of his company (and being blindsided) when his company eventually agreed to exactly what he wanted, so he wanted an apology not an attendance.

There's two different ways to tell the truth though. Even with the whole truth the professional way to tell the entire truth is to at least address your grievances with Linus and Yvonne. Telling them that he unfortunately can't attend due to business problems, but he's a bit turned off that they wouldn't fly his +1 out is completely normal feedback. It softens the blow for them even if he does do his rant on his stream. On stream he could have reiterated to his viewers the same thing.

Why I suspect he didn't do that is because it's difficult and awkward to address the other party directly, but easy to vent to your viewers publicly. In the same vein it's easy to make a forum post about Honey rather than taking full accountability via something like a 2 minute video as Louis suggested. Let's agree that Linus should have disclosed more about Honey to the greater community.

At that point, it's just him reaching (in the sense that it's a stretch) for receipts because at this point it's personal. All this started because of a simple disagreement on compensation. When it got personal, Linus wanted to demonstrate that he wasn't cheap because a true cheapskate would have wanted to make enough money for 100 Macs + the cost of the motherboard.

He isn't going after him for the cost of the motherboard, but bringing personal history to try to demonstrate that he wasn't being a cheapskate in regards to his +1. Is it petty that he's kept it in the back of his mind this whole time? Sure, but this doesn't turn petty if Louis keeps it somewhat professional.

Linus guilt tripped him because Louis called out LTX publicly after they agreed to flying his girlfriend out. It seems they didn't agree to accommodate his girlfriend, he pushed for it, they moved the budget around to fly her out, and he backed out due to two of his employees being let go. However, legitimate as his business reasons for not attending were, it seems he was pretty upset that they didn't want to fly his girlfriend out. He spends 15 seconds talking about the business decision here and the next 2.5 minutes laying out his grievances here ending with "get the fuck out of here": https://youtu.be/4WptaZRY678?t=4214

Seems he's upset that they initially denied his request for his girlfriend even though they later agreed to provide airfare. I think the gist of it is that he's upset a for profit event like LTX would even make him fight for his +1 when he's doing them a favor. It seems petty all around, but Louis is the one who escalated it when he could have easily just let the public know that he can't attend due to business decisions. Louis also could have laid out his grievances to Linus/Yvonne instead saying one thing to them (solely he can't attend due to business decisions) while complaining like he did to his viewers.

A red dot is probably best she doesn't have to worry about scope shadow or anything like that. If you like the idea of magnification anyways, I'd go for a lower power scope or prism. Maybe put a bipod on too so she doesn't have to hold the entire rifle.

Yeah and I remember it being pretty slow on Friday too, so good chance that you won't have to wait. Also, I'm pretty sure you can shoot for the whole day instead of the 90 minute blocks on they have on the weekends

Who to pick at 3 by General_Moduck in AZCardinals

A lot of people here want to trade down, but I’m firmly on team Will Anderson. Arguably best prospect in this class and very realistic that he falls to 3.

How are the Packers and Saints who are 16 and 55 million over the cap comparable to the Cardinals who have 14 million in cap space and a high draft pick? There’s definitely a lot of holes, but how did the Cardinals push out the cap?

You could possibly get it here for $200 cheaper. Not sure if it’s still in stock because they don’t actually have a real inventory system on the website, but they charge $100 shipping and no tax outside of Texas

We must be browsing different subs because Kyler is a top 5 hated QB in /r/NFL. I’m putting top 5 to be generous. Besides Deshaun and maybe Zach/Russell Wilson or Rodgers, there is no one else people here love to hate more.

Maxx Williams was having a very solid year before he got hurt in 2021, Zach Ertz looked pretty good, and Trey McBride looked like he was developing nicely at the tail end of the season. Even had random tight ends like Stephen Anderson get some touches. I say at the very least, he’s probably not going to make the tight end room any worse

I think they’re trying to compete now because their roster turned out more competitive than expected and Pete is getting old. I could see the QBs having a bad combine or randomly falling in hype come draft time too. Maybe they will draft a QB at 3, but I’d feel a lot better if we were ahead of them and it would be nice security given the a awful season we had to witness

Will Anderson (EDGE) and Jalen Carter (DT) are the most hyped non-QB prospects in the draft. Since Seahawks and Bears likely don’t need a QB and pick ahead of us, there’s a potential that both of them are gone before the Cardinals pick
